Lana's diction and incomprehensible lyrics

For the longtest time I thought the chorus of Salvatore was “Ah ah ah ah ah salvatoreeee”. One day I met a Lana stan and he asked me what my favorite Lana song was and I said Salvatore to show him I knew the deep cuts. I was so excited to meet someone IRL who loved Lana, I just started singing the chorus in front of him and then he told me “actually it's cacciatore” and I haven't recovered since :rip:

im sorry but how did you mistake a clear C sound for salvatore :air:

this isn't exactly about the lyrics themselves but it's still embarrassing that i literally did not notice there were lyrics during the entirety of the SOC bridge for a really long time..... i noticed the first line and then just thought it was a nice solo guitar moment for the rest :blush3:

also "i push you high, and you lean off/and you lean on/angelina"... personally im a proponent of one of the first two

I still don’t here the “ck” in “outta the black, into the blue” (Get Free). It will always sound like “outta the blaaaaah, into the blue”. I actually used to think it was “outta the blue, into the blue” and I was like oh wow that’s deep I guess..?

it's very commonly believed that she's saying "don't cry honey" but i honestly think she's saying "don't cry bunny" in gramma :bebe: it's "bunny" in the live performance, it's honestly hard to know for sure since we don't have any official lyrics for the aka album

okay so for Chemtrails over the country club. Is  it:

        It's beautiful

-How this deep normality settles down over me

-LSD. Normality settles down  over me

                  or

-I'll escape. Normality settles down over me

"How this deep normality settles down over me" makes the most sense IMO, bc she's talking about going to shop at Brentwood market so it's "deeply normal" but she enjoys it IYKWIM. I wouldn't understand why'd she throw LSD in there.

I still feel really dumb for this one but listening to ultraviolence the first few times I thought she sang ‘he hurt me and it felt like July’

I figured out eventually it was ‘true love’ but I still hear it as July

I had always heard in Sad girl the lyric - He’s money on the side, About 2 months ago I found out I’m deaf.

A damn shame Lana's too lazy to have her lyrics printed in the album booklets. She only did it with Born to Die. It would be really helpful.

I thought it was money on the side too. lol

It's  at the end of the second verse/before the 3rd chorus...

i would sing it but that would be impossible in so many different ways

I hear LSD and I think she's referencing ASAP Rocky's LSD, which he decodes in his song as Love Sex Dreams   So hearing "its beautiful, LSD, normality settles down over me" always made sense to me
