TEMPORARY Chemtrails Over the Country Club - Pre-Release Thread: OUT March 19th, 2021

ugh something about the album title is making me so nervous but so excited for the album!!! it can either end up as piano ballads (like hope) or it can be like ultraviolence and have that fire in its core...really hoping it’s the second one :omfg2:

have we talked about song's we would like her to cover for this album ?! i know we barely know anything about the sound... but id love to see what you guys would like to see her cover this era!

I could imagine her putting her cover of Joni Mitchell’s “For Free” on COCC.

i hope she doesn’t try to be political, usually i’m fine with, or even like, artists getting a little political (hozier) but she’s not good at it at all so i want her to stay far, faaar away

Albums have to be submitted 60 days (?) before release so that means she has about a month to finish it up.

Censoring art defeats the purpose of it, but I can only hope that the mess of the past two weeks has taught her to think really carefully about the messages she conveys, and the words she uses ...

I don't want a safe album (and I felt that NFR was), but, if she's going to be political at all (not my preference but probably inevitable), I don't want one that's tone deaf, either ... idk ... I'm scared lmao

ur legit gonna look the same stop buying oil of Olay face cream

she better serve us a bad b*tch album (aesthetics similar to UV)

and the songs better be like she said in her note to critics (embodied, stripping, being in luvvvv stuck in quarantine hitting up an ex lover)

give us our Pepsi cola queen style lyrics sis

I didn't know UV had an aesthetics, I just thought she applied her eyeliner poorly on purpose ? :hoe:

Just kidding, and I'm totally on board with you on the themes, let them come !

It’s 90 days to allow physical releases as well. Could she release it digitally first, then have physical copies made a couple of weeks after, like Beyoncé did with her last albums? If so, she could rework COCC a bit (not sure it’s a good thing though) with the recent events. If she chose to have physical copies released later on, the leaks sure would be harder to get this time lol.

the one thing i noticed with NFR is that her vocals seem very drained out on a lot of the tracks and overpowered by the instrumentals, when in the past her vocals were very clear to me. i dont know if this is how she wanted the record to sound or if its some shit jack does but i hope we dont get more of that because i dislike it... alot

i thought it was very much the opposite. the instrumentals almost weren't loud enough, especially on the title track where her voice was much more clear, less reverb on it than ever before

if i fuck this model and she just bleached her asshole and i get bleach on my t-shirt, imma feel like an asshole

lana releases all the vinyls, cassettes etc at the same time so she has a better chance of getting a #1 album. she knows her fans will buy all the different versions and it increases her sales. especially bundling “digital copies” with merch.

I hope so too.

But...

but... what happens if she releases an all Spanish-speaking song (Lana speaks Spanish) about a 1960´s Havana Casino showgirl in love with

a revolutionary like "Che" Guevara ...  and...    and...  and then she starts croooning with her low voice "Viva La Revolucion !  Viva La Revolucion , darling ... Te amo  "

I truly hate my job (who doesn’t) but I wake up in the morning and I just have to tell myself I’m doing this for future Chemtrails and poetry merch. It helps.

Me too,  I agree :)

I am also having high-hopes for this new Lana record....  Also for the next Alanis Morissette record.

If they turn out to be "Dud´s" ...  I can always use them as a candy bowl     :teehee:
