I’ll Never forget when he trashed Hayley Williams single for like 4 minutes not knowing it was a massive attack cover  and not an obscure massive attack song either - like literally teardrop which everyone knows

I listened twice today and I love it so much. The only song that I skipped in the 2nd listening was LMLLW, because I don't like the lyrics

 

Yosemite still my favorite and For Free lowered in my ranking. It ends so abruptly and they are not harmonizing when they're singing together

i actually enjoy for free and the harmonizing, i remember listening to it for the first time in the car and it brought tears to my eyes  they might've done it better live but i love the album version

For Free is a wink to both Dance Till We Die (I cover Joni) and the whole « Laurel Canyon » feeling of both Norman and Chemtrails. Joni was one of the front figures of Laurel Canyon in the 70s, so it’s fitting to end up Chemtrails with that song IMO.

i love the part of TJF around 3:14 where theres a muffled “you should stay right close to jesus” but the effects on her voice or whatever make it sound like she’s kinda crying while singing it... well that’s just my take anyway

even the good ones...every single one is like “for better or worse this is definitely a Lana Del Rey album the whole thing is about the 1950s and 20th century America and wealth and opulence and drugs and sugar daddies yup that’s all she sings about but she’s good at it now but we still hate her but Joni Mitchell inspired her now instead of hip hop so yes it’s good but she still sucks! 8/10”
