While driving today, I had the album on and I ended up going a little bit out of the city and while on the road, had a literal country club on my right and to my left, some farmland with yellowed grass and I thought that that imagery was so on the nose for this album. It was perfect

I really don't think she's overshadowed by her features on this album at all. Actually, I think they fit perfectly, not like that L4L mess. Sorry for that  She kills it on BUS and For Free sounds like three hauting beautiful flower girls singing by the river. They just blend beautifully.

It didn't feel so... forced. I love The Weeknd and ASAP Rocky and Stevie Nicks but it feels so damn weird. You can tell Nikki, Weyes, Zella and Lana been hanging out and truly connecting through the music.

more then half of bieber's numbers is great for lana. And 2nd place is higher than NFR.

Theory: the “sound” Lana was trying to reach but felt like she didn’t in the album was a “wilderness” vibe. 

 

The first half of the album has glossier production whereas BUS, Yosemite, For Free, NAWWAL have an open-air, country setting to it. It would fit the storyline of COCC/music video and her obsession with “Running with the Wolves.” LMLYLAW should be on the back half of album but also in the album, it’s needed to give a little more variety.

Finally listened to all the instrumentals and wow they are really beautiful

This album might be more stripped back instrumentally then NFR! but the production on COTCC is so good and feels rich

Her vocal delivery on this album is amazing and carry the tracks but the instrumentals are actually really good as well and I noticed some things in the  instrumentals I haven't heard before. White Dress, Title Track, Tulsa Jesus Freak & Dance Till We Die are stunning. LMLYLAW,  DBJAG, Wild At Heart, Not All Who Wander ( it's so peaceful) , For Free & Yosemite are so beautiful as well. Breaking Up Slowly instrumental is haunting though
