the shortest duration we’ve ever had between a single and album is a month and a half (HBTB to HM) and even then she had teased the lyrics to honeymoon for months on Instagram (and she gave out the lyrics during her tour)

So...Realistically, If the album is coming June 1st we should have a single no later than mid April 

 

but I’m wondering if Chemtrail’s success is going to make them wait to try and push RCS harder. They aren’t going to want her to rank in the highest vinyl sales with one album and then super low her next. 
 

Communication has never been Lana/tap’s main concern so we’ll know when we know (as shitty as that is)

There are so many things we don’t know yet that could influence the rollout of RCS. 
1- are physical copies planned? (Probably) if so, I hope there aren’t 457 variants to them. it’s undeniable : Lana is a vinyl artist at this point for release week and Interscope will surely want to cash in on that. Or will they want this album to be mainly streaming at first then physical copies like she did with LFL (even if the Billboard rules changed about what counts on release week)?
2- I got strong summer vibes from RCS. If so, she won’t want to push it too far. Plus Chemtrails has been pushed back and, well, look how much interest she has promoting it ? (and I get why: she clearly is in a different mindset)
3- was June 1 real? Thinking about it, she was with Ben and Ed the day before she announced it. Maybe they said early June and she jumped on the first as the release date?
4- Do they want a preorder? It’s been wildly successful with Chemtrails... If so, and if there are multiple vinyls offered, then it should be happening in April if they want it to be profitable.

I have a very hard time believing the date she gave, but the fact they paid for the font to be made highly suggests it was pretty well planned

I’m thinking exactly the same : first single and preorder a couple of weeks prior to release. June 1 seemed more of a « solid date » than Sept 5 for me too. And yet again, it’s not like we haven’t been burned before by her false dates, like you said.

designing the font = album is probably real and somewhat planned out. but deleting the repost of lana's announcement = different release date? maybe it was a joke after all? i have no clue and its super weird to me...

 

but also i'll note it's still on her LDR story highlights thing. so she didn't do a super thorough job of cleaning it off her page, suggesting it wasn't some big order from ben and ed to immediately get rid of it? maybe just personal preference? i have no idea and it's stressing me out because the only non-lana confirmation we has pretty much disappeared

Agree with you it was weird for that girl to archive the post. She never confirmed the June 1 date either... Maybe they asked her to take down the announcement because she did confirm that it was an announcement post (I read into that that it’s not the final cover, and Lana wants to have us on the edge of our seat wondering). Or maybe Lana and her managers were in the midst of planning / negociations with Interscope that week and they wanted to have as little « outside influences » as possible?!?

Yeah! I thought if it was actually a big deal, that the producer would've just messaged Clay privately. But since he said that publicly, I'm gonna drink that hint in like a sponge
