in my honest opinion, i believe dealer might not be about an actual person, but rather whoever she is singing to represents a physical manifestation of something dark that was or is chasing her, that she's trying to avoid. it could be a person, but songs are subjective and that's my reading on it.

Is this album about her and her family and/or partners? Or is she refering to herself and her past self/selves as we?

The song has parts of both Lana and Miles singing alone. I didn't hear (of the two times I did hear) any harmonies or both singing at the same time.

Dealer may be one of my favorite Lana songs ever. It's so dope and esoteric (?) I don't know how to describe, it's very raw and emotional too, it has a strong UV feeling and I'm here for it.

Just listened to Dealer in full. Verdict, idk what anyone could complain about i really enjoyed it. her berlin trilogy era ?

as a writer myself, it makes me so happy to see Lana come into her own for this record. she was the main inspiration behind me getting into writing poetry and music, and while I feel like all her albums demonstrate just how talented she is as a writer, this record will no doubt hit close to home for me, as it feels like it will be her most california inspired album yet, but with a bigger emphasis on authenticity and a down to earth writing style that still feels poetic and true to her. it's why honeymoon is my favorite Lana album, as a native California girl. it feels like a love letter to the beauty as well as a critique on the seedy underbelly of the state. with arcadia, it feels like a love song to the west coast and the beauty of the mundanity found within it. with

it feels like more of a lynchian surrealist commentary on the dark goings on behind the scenes, therefore the twin peaks vibe she goes for on this one makes total sense. soooo excited to see what other themes she explores so soon!
