blue banisters is just messy-naming people works if it’s one or two at max people-she gave a list- which is messy for people who don’t stalk her family.

Talking about painting a banister blue is just odd and awkward for a beautiful melody-I feel like I’m talking to a deluxe paint specialist.

 

The BLM line in textbook and the narrative is also weirdly mashed together with her dads longing and the marches.

He attended and posted about a Blue Lives Matter protest and his cop show.. well you can see for yourself how he reinforced racist stereotypes with it.
Are we even sure he ever attended a BLM protest? The sheer idea, that she attends one, could have been reason enough for a fall off.

I don’t see a bar named Old Man River in LA, just Old Man Bar.

Some of you are crazed.

People are allowed to give constructive feedback, the consensus over the last few days has been that we shouldn’t flambait-the comment was in response to a discussion about her songwriting jeez.

 

and yes she has used names but not a whole colony of people -the first rule of writing is to  be descriptive with the individuals, it’s always been seen as lazy to just name someone and an activity they’re doing.

the biggest reach is regarding the analytical side, I highly doubt it was little more than her recounting a series of events- yes a banister represents support? So? even still her lyrical choices are bland and vague.

My guess is that she used the protest just as a background scenario for their breakup, I don't think sean was with her that day, but they probably had an argument over it at her home or whatever but it wouldn't sound as cool in the lyrics

as much as i think that tracklist is 100% fake, i do think that someday there's a chance we'll get Yes To Heaven on an album. this album? maybe! im not sure. but lana clearly has quite an attachment and interest in that song, given that there were so many versions and it was even considered for the Honeymoon tracklist! who knows we'll see!
