I think both! A couple have been just singles, but some of the earlier ones like Young and Beautiful and Big Eyes / I Can Fly have been on the soundtrack albums for those respective films.

I wonder how different will this song be compared to the last records. This can either be a DCMA situation (where the media producers/whoever creates the soundtrack have more creative control over the music) or the standard Lana soundtrack with her usual collaborators.

Labrinth produced the actual album from season 1 but for example Billie's song was produced by her brother so who knows. Either way I'm sure we are in for a treat  

I can also see her using some random outtake from post NFR but if the Euphoria producers liked it I'm sure it will match the vibes.

Someone on ATRL said the Billie song was actually announced and released before the episode aired so maybe we'll get it sooner than we think 

I'm not setting my expectations high (date wise) cause that one was a full on single with a MV and all that and maybe Lana's song has more of a lowkey release. I'm just scared about another LIB situation
