Bubblegum Bitch 2. Primadonna Interlude - The Archetypes 4. The State of Dreaming 5. Radioactive 6. Lies 7. E.V.O.L. 8. Lonely Hearts Club 9. Homewrecker Interlude - Su-Barbie-A 11. Teen Idle 12. Electra Heart 13. Fear and Loathing DELUXE 14. Eternity 15. Buy the Stars 16. Sex Yeah ----------------------------------------- Basically, this whole segment is Electra being in her prime, where she's the one pulling the strings and manipulating everyone. The album is opened by Bubblegum Bitch and is followed by Primadonna and The Archetypes - that gives you a good insight to the character of Electra, who she really is and what she truly wants. The State of Dreaming is a brief moment of conciousness (the first one) where Electra realizes her fate but instead of falling in she steps back and returns even more toxic and manipulative in Radioactive. This is Electra's peak. Lies is the second time where Electra is awakened. Her toxicity leads to her fall down, she's mad and hysteric because she can't get what she wants. That leads to E.V.O.L. where she expresses her disorted definition of love. Lonely Hearts Club is even further expansion of her sadness, Electra loses her confidence in being lovable and attractive, she believes she'll be lonely forever. Out of the black, the Homewrecker is born. Her heart has been broken so many times that now she wants revenge - she's basically a villain who uses her trauma as a weapon against others. A monster is born. This is the part where it gets even darker. Su-Barbie-A is per se eerie and creepy as fuck. It serves as an insight to Electra's mind - all these people talking represent voices in her head. Teen Idle is where Electra is broken and I mean depressed broken. She's down, feeling useless, empty and suicidal. The title track, Electra Heart, is the climax of Electra's life. She's having an emotional breakdown in the most psychedelic way, she's fuming rage and anger being ready to enroll in the history as the icon she is. The last track on the album, Fear and Loathing, that's calm after the storm. It's the third and final moment of realizing the true meaning of her existence. She looks back at life knowing what's been done and she is ready give it all up now. Electra is purged. Electra is free. ----------------------------------------- Sonically I put the more pop tracks at the beginning. It switches at Homewrecker to this more dark and uncanny sound. The title track is an exception as it's this hyper electro mealtdown we all love and appreciate <3 Eternity and Buy the Stars are what I believe is meant to be deluxe tracks so they're excatly where they are supposed to be in this specific order (Eternity being after FaL). Sex Yeah's here because I really believe it's worth including, I just don't know where to put it lol. The rest og album tracks - don't get me wrong, I like those tracks (more or less), they just don't fit in as much as the other tracks I've chosen in my own Electra fantasy. I also wanted to keep it realistic for the album length and keep it somehow tidy and organised. How to be a Heartbreaker exists somewhere in this universe as a single or whatever.
