I feel like Lana is over that. My interpretation is that a he writes songs for herself and her fans now. Which though it means she won’t get all the recognition she deserves, but it makes her music feel a little bit more special in my opinion

Wikipedia says she firstly teased BB on her instagram April 11. She announced the album April 28 and said she would release it July 4, which she obviously didn’t. I’m kinda scared, I mean she said BB would be released July 4 but she released it in October 22…

Honestly I'm not expecting a single tomorrow, but I do think she'll mention something regarding LDR9. A teaser trailer for the album? A MV/audio snippet? The album title? Something random like "new single soonish"? It's the first time there's an actual build-up to her birthday, lol. It must mean something. Remember when she posted the Arcadia snippet + the album cover and even BoZ was confused because he thought that the album would be called Arcadia? She's random like that. I won't be surprised if she posts the entire tracklist. Or if she posts nothing LDR9-related at all.  But I'm being hopeful!

 

Anyway, I really love Buddy's Rendez-vous so if the orchestral production of the Erickson tracks is similar, then I'm definitely going to love that section of the album. It would work well with a few HM-inspired Nowels tracks on the album (if she really worked with Nowels on LDR9). Erickson also played most of the instruments and wrote the string arrangements on Angel Olsen's latest album. I actually really like his work on BB. IYLDWM's outro is fantastic; the horns and strings on Arcadia create a slightly unsettling soundscape; even a track like Beautiful - which is lovely albeit very simple - has Erickson's gorgeous expressionistic piano which makes it quite unique in Lana's discography (ditto Sweet Carolina, although I consider that one to be one of the highlights of the album anyway).

Honestly I don't want her to rush out a single or trailer etc. I'm happy to wait and hopefully get an effortless rollout like Honeymoon. I think that's been one of her biggest criticisms since the Lust For Life era and it kinda feels like this time they're not giving anything away.

 

I think we're all tired of false dates, slmg and album titles, artworks etc. Her and her team are being very tight lipped for a reason.

He was right about WCE and pretty much all of the posts he made about the album (Drew, Jack), she confirmed just after. His song descriptions, on the other hand… not so much.

It’s always a possibility. Honestly, I wouldn’t have expected anything if she had posted just her selfie… but the LFL trailer just after… and the Stars Align highlight, which features pictures and BTs footage of the W magazine… those two make me say she’ll say something album-related tomorrow.
