I definitely would rather not have leaked songs because I want as much new music as possible, but I also think Lana has chosen to use them well and she's not as lazy about it as some people say. Each addition to Blue Banisters has a purpose and fits the themes and narrative really nicely (except maybe Thunder but it's still a solid part of the album.) She's ultimately telling the story that she wants and it's not her fault that these songs leaked, and in the future people won't even know that when looking back at her legacy. The only mistake she really made for me was switching up TNBAR because the "honey how's it feeling" part is one of my favourite moments in her discography 

 

I agree 100% about 'Yosemite' and 'IYLDWM.' 'Yosemite' definitely fit better on COCC than it would have on LFL as released. Both are among my Top 5 Lana songs ever. 

 

IMO, she ruined TNBAR completely on NFR, and it didn't fit at all on NFR. I'm glad I have the 'original' demo or ready-to-go leaked version. I keep it on a second version of LFL I created, and call 'Next Best American Record.' 

 

I think, in the past, we've known that Lana herself, or her people or handlers, leaked a couple songs--isn't that a fact? It's been discussed here so many times. Can anyone produce any hard evidence? If so, if correct, we can't 100% blame all the leaked tracks on others or outsiders. 

 

Going forward, I don't mind previously leaked tracks on LDL9 if they're reworked in the studio.

“Wait for life” is one of my favorite songs from her for this exact reason . Her vocals are phenomenal in that song .

For some reason IYLDWM is one of her most recent songs that remind me a bit of her earlier BTD/P vocals .

'Wait For Life' is also one of my favorites--so passionate, so overflowing with emotion and pain.

Anyway, I really don't have anything big or complex to say about LDR9 apart of wanting it to be vastly different of her previous releases. I know BB felt more diverse production-wise, and Dealer was surely something else vocally, but still I just want ha to get out of the comfort zone she has been in since LFL and then improvise and experiment with her voice like she did with Dealer, although... Now that I'm thinking, that'd be way greater to happen for LDR10
