Make me your Dream Life

Your Favorite Music Genres?

Recommended Posts

What's the kind of music that you like listening to? The top genres, and which kinds of music did you wish you listened to more? I take a while to listen to an album and have it on repeat for a good while, before shifting to another one, and I've been wanting to expand to other genres.

What genres are your go to's?

dream pop is definitely my genre! i love ethereal, sweet melodies executed in the vein of rock music. i also like indie rock/indie pop with strong lyricism (soccer mommy, big thief, etc), and i’d say that i like most of indie music in general, influenced by many genres :)

Lana, reggaeton and RKT. I used to listen to metal like Sepultura and Pantera when I was younger but now I'm barely reminded of their existence.

american & british rock, pop, and r&b from 1950s-1990s are the genres i grew up on and i guess are the ones i still listen to most, though i also listen to plenty of electronic and folk music (i feel like those more or less fit into pop & rock categories). i don't listen to a ton of country but have classic and contemporary favs who are amongst my all time favs too (kacey musgraves, june carter, miranda lambert, the chicks, buffy st marie, patsy cline etc); same goes for rap/hip hop.
