imo none of these were worth meltdowns. question for the culture was completely justified & everything she said was right. chemtrails cover was cute & sentimental plus the alt cover was sold at major retailers in like every country. snow on the beach was not really a big surprise & most lana fans were already prepared to hate it even if lana got a verse bc they hate taylor. but i guess as women we reserve the right to be overdramatic about everything

I listened to it like 20 times and I can't even hear her background vocals, all the breathy vocals just sound like Taylor doing breathy background vocals...if this truly is the final version I will be absolutely shocked. ngl i couldn’t care how big of a role lana played in the song, her vocals (what you hear of them, at least) are stunning and her and taylor have great chemistry, but the production is mid and taylor’s lyricism is just plain tacky: for instance, the janet reference on the bridge which is no less cringey than it was three years ago with the drake reference on ‘i forgot that you existed’ and it just feels like a slap in the face to lana’s artistry

I’m not the biggest Taylor fan, though I do enjoy some of her works, especially recently. But if the leak I heard is the final thing then… Lana isn’t even in it. I hope it’s an old demo.
