I don't think Lana is very good at putting together outfits tbh  Chuck was right when she said that. Her street style was great from 2012-14, basically everytime she stepped out so I could probably choose every single photo from back then. After that we got the occasional good look.

It's funny you say that because I always wondered if she was put on a strict diet when she "became" LDR. There's photos of her from early 2012 where her belly literally curves inward. Idk if it's true but it's something I've wondered about. In 2012, the music business was very different from nowadays...

I thought the same thing. It's obvious that she was forced to lose weight because it's not her natural build, hard to see at first because we didn't know her. And then in 2012-2013 when she wore short skirts/dresses you could see that she had "big" thighs, a build that is on thicker people when they lose weight. She was really sublime but I think she had to go on a diet, she had an image to follow like the new stars on the market, she had this image to keep. That's why she doesn't really like the Born to die moment, because she wasn't free on her own. Now we can see how she is free and no longer deprives herself.

Personal faves:

I love noticing the pieces she wore a lot like canvas shoes, the same shorts, same ripped jeans, same necklaces. And I love the way she makes very basic outfits look so glamourous with accessories and makeup/lashes/nails, etc.

idk if she was put on a diet by anyone else but here's that interview from 2010/11 where she talks about being on that lemon juice/cayenne "cleanse" (diet) so imo she was def prepping herself to enter the world of grim body expectations in pop music.
