What a magical creation…..so fragile and pure     and you can literally see light shining. It’s giving me early 2000s indie folk music like Bright Eyes. I also hear Leonard Cohen. I disagree with the insiders saying the production goes nowhere. It’s quite unpredictable but stable and informed. This is definitely one of those songs you can keep listening to and always appreciate.

Kintsugi reminds me of Landslide by Fleetwood Mac so much, like it is the classic Stevie Nicks song that makes you feel peaceful and like everything's bright and pretty. Also I love how she used her voice, she sounds so sweet <3 Truly one of my favourites, I feel like I'm going to listen to it a lot after college when I walk down the park

it just feels like the emotional climax/release of the song. her vocals are higher and jack backs her up with some additional instrumentation flourishes. it's just really nice.

 

it's hard to compare it to another song in her catalog. perhaps similar to the verses of Fine China on like 0.5 speed?
