idk if this makes sense but it’s crazy to me how one artist, one human, a total stranger.. can stimulate and expand my mind and my life so much?
like…. this woman changed how I view artistry. How I view my own past and my tragedies. How I find beauty and magic within the mundane parts of life.
Her mind and her willingness to share it with the world is magic in itself.

The album is a certified classic and you can tell it's a grower. I think there's a very noticeable narrative direction

given the placements of the songs and the interludes, the changes of topic and multiple songs sharing certain lyrics, it all comes across as intentional and well put together

The Grants - maybe the apotheosis of the album thematically - life, death, marriage with all of its anxities but also beauty

Did You Know... - herself

Sweet - her and Sean

A&W - the dissolution and the gateway to the heavier part of the album

Judah Smith Interlude - ties back to A&W

Candy Necklace - fuck if we know lmao

Jon Batiste Interlude - we'll need some CN context for this too i guess

Kintsugi - death

Fingertips - death, grander existential themes

Paris, Texas - the leaving anthem

Grandfather - making peace

Let the Light In - the shift

Margaret - the staying forever anthem (notice it shares lyrics with PT)

Fishtail - a bop idk

Peppers - a vibe idk

Taco Truck - and btw if the critics wanna stir it up, they can print it and she don't care

I'll need a few more listens and reading the lyrics to actually make it make sense and elaborate on most songs, but yeah, i love it
