All her albums are midnight EST releases so fair warning, I’m pretty sure this one will be too

I’m can’t remember the previous ones, but at least Blue Banisters was released local midnight time. I know cus I vividly remember using a VPN to listen to it when it came out in NZ:hide:

How will the GP know if her album is out or not...

The last time she publicly promoted her album was for Chemm and it had good sales.

She promoted it as much as blue banisters- they both had one public performance which is why it makes no sense that she was trying to keep blue banisters from being heard-both had limited promo and it’s still more than ocean 💀

Not you trying to diss Lana for being pretentious while providing the most basic alternative that no one asked for. Maybe that’s why we’re listening to her music and not yours? Anyways, thanks for your input!

The times was really positive which is great- again even if the album is sh*t she’s not going to be panned- lust for life started the wave of everything she makes being acclaimed because retrospectively her first few albums were review bombed massively- even most of these don’t totally focus on the quality of the music- there’s too much talk about public perception and her impact on other artists which isn’t really what reviewers should be looking at.

How can some of you put Paris over some beautiful original songs such as Grandfather, Candy, Kintsugi or Sweet?

Paris, Texas being no. 1 on my ranking  :bebe:

Note to reviewers- scrap the boring think pieces on Lana- concentrate on what you think of the production, what is the lyrical content addressing, is it appealing to a mass audience or is it niche- has it evolved her sound?- some of the tracks certainly seem so

Ugh, why do all reviewers need to start their review with lines like this one:

"Ever since she emerged as America’s dark sweetheart over a decade ago, Lana Del Rey has been dogged by accusations that she’s a phoney."

I mean, a decade and nearly 10 albums after Video Games and those "phoney" accusations, you'd think they'd put it behind already.

Also, the review is sooo porely written, it's embarrassing.

"Peppers with its electronic hip hop beat and a strange chorus"

He's paid to write reviews but that that's the best he can say? How is that a "strange" chorus? Compared to "Fuck me to death?" which isn't? Ugh. Whoever said we shouldn't give a damn about reviews is right. I'll hold off on Pitchfork and Fantano, the rest are all shit.
