thats always the hardest parts of transcribing lana lyrics... shes referencing so many movies, people or places that i dont know most of the time

& maybe it's a double entendre that also alludes to the black/white dichotomy that is very prevalent in the world, which Lana also experienced especially during her early career - like the media/GP never took time to read between the lines or find nuance, instead they categorised her/the music  as either 'good' or 'bad' & mostly the latter at that
