Yeah, as someone who takes music very seriously I have never understood critics who write their reviews after one single listen. That's stupid as fuck. Imagine staring at a painting for 10 seconds and then writing a whole essay about it. Huh?

Not enough praise for this album for how daring it is in the land of 2 minutes songs. I still can’t believe the length is being used as a negative .

 

The soundbytes trend will pass. This album will be enjoyed and studied beyond that trend.

Honestly I think we’re forgetting Lana has always been controversial in reviews , even NFR on metacritic has some lower scores than ocean Blvd has gotten so Far. I feel like they’ll wind up getting same critic reception at end of this! We won!

also it’s so lazy because lana has ALREADY revealed how this album was going to be very wordy in her W Mag interview from last year, before she even announced the album. They’re not even saying anything new

It's really cool to see how divisive this album is. Everyone has different opinions on what they consider their favourite tracks which is a really good sign of a great album, i guess because it means there are no universally hated songs so nothing is actually bad. They all have room to grow and become more appreciated in time

But i've also seen a lot of people say they really like them so it's probably not bad , just not your taste in music which is okay
