Assuming she does these, half of the set is gone already. Taken up by ten year old songs that she’s played at almost every show since they were released. I get that it’s a festival and she’s gotta play the hits, but she quite literally is one of the biggest artists in the world. Over half of the crowd will sing word for word, no matter what songs she sings. It’s just hard to justify.

Yeah the festival excuse is way played out considering she’s a HEADLINER, therefore you can assume the audience knows her music. There’s really no point in her taking the stage this year if there isn’t 8-10 new songs in the set. I’ve seen her twice and I can’t say I’d see her a third if half the setlist is from 10+ years ago

Well she there is a point in her taking the stage for people who have never seen her who would love to hear those songs

I really don’t care unfortunately  they’ve had 10 years to see these songs live. There’s artists like Tori Amos who have a completely new setlist every show.

I don't think there will be Ocean Blvd tour. Instead I think she'll be touring for LDRX. Soo I don't expect her singing the songs in the last 3 albums that much. It will be BTD and the other songs festival tour again😍

I’m not planning to but this a forum for discussion whether it’s critical or not lol. And a stale setlist is very fair criticism when you have 9 albums plus a plethora of unreleased material to bring out

Exactly, most fans are seasoned fans and have either been to her shows, or watched countless videos of her performing the same songs for the past 11 years. A lot of us just wish she was more adventurous with her setlist, it's cute, but it's very safe/stale at this point.

 

Every tour of hers, has been 50% Born To Die songs + a handful of tracks from the most recent albums + one unreleased track. It's not complaining, it's just stating facts.

I don’t think anybody with Lana’s catalog can have a setlist that satisfies everyone unless you’re Taylor and have 3 hours to perform.

BTD is still being portrayed as her "peak" to gp just because she believes it is like this, there's still ultraviolence and NFR doing crazy numbers on streaming services and she ignores majority of songs off these albums

 

AND although its *not* ocean blvd tour we all know the main reason of this festival tour is her releasing this damn album which is btw doing such good numbers and she's supposed to promote specifically this release and not her whole discography (especially her 11 year old debut lol)

I think some people lack music knowledge when they act like festival performances must be a greatest hits performance, or musical pot-pourri of sorts. A lot of artists perform big festivals and pretty much do the same set they would as part of a normal tour, or even better, a festival performance is sometimes apart of their current tour (in promotion of their most recent project).
 

Her setlist has been the subject of criticism for years--people saying she's just comfortable singing the same songs and doesn't feel like singing her most recent songs (at the time of their release). I remember this very forum criticizing her for singing 4 NFR songs on the NFR tour.

I am def not someone who loves everything Lana does but it’s so annoying to see people who say they’ve been to multiple shows mad about a setlist… you can critique it but tbh I don’t blame her for doing btd!!! Those are her most upbeat/known songs. A lot of people haven’t had the opportunity to go to a show and would be very excited to hear those songs. Critiquing the setlist/ saying you wish she played a certain song is one thing but saying she “has no reason to be on stage” is dumb
