Pastor interlude is absolutely confounding but I do love the music behind it. I might need an audio tech girly to remove the crazy pastor at some point.

CANDY NECKLACE THO. Wowee. :angie:

I think he's harsh but ultimately pretty fair with her. he recognises her talent but has less tolerance for the imperfections than we (her fans) have. Like I hear her sing a verse off key and im like "ItS oN puRpoSe" whereas he just says its sloppy.

I always value his opinion and think he WANTS to like lana, and he's been really into the three singles so far.

I totally disagree with his opinions of her earlier music though...

yes I KNOWWWWW im opening myself up to the lanaboards firing squad for not condemning him but I can have an opinion right? :ohno:

Omg I totally agree with you lol

i know a lot of people will trash the autotune on fishtail (as they did with tulsa jesus freak) but i think it's a pretty valid experimentation for lana. i'm all for trying new things: new producers, new techniques, new beats and i think this album as a whole suceeded a lot in that aspect

Can someone explain why she censored mother like that on Fingertips? I was so used to listening to the leak we had that this was startling and… kind of a weird choice, sonically? It took me out of the song.

The beat and her vocals on Fishtail sound 10 x better in HQ. What fresh hell was that leak version? A god-damn phone recording or sth?

The beats remind me of Rick's production on Groupie Love (which I loved). So much better in hq / atmos! 😍

Lana & FJM truly create the most magical art together. This one is such a feel-good song that I want to dance to around a bonfire with my friends. Maybe I'll do that this weekend at my friend's birthday celebration - I made us all listen to Chemtrails together during his birthday party two years ago since it was right after that release too. This one just makes me smile. Beautiful vocals from both Lana & FJM, they complement each other so well.

Also: "Don't be acting like I’m the kinda girl who can sleep" - me rn after having pulled a 40-hour all-nighter lmao x

Margaret next, which I recall to be another beautiful collaboration.. x

Let The Light In really is that bitch. I can't believe this has almost been an entire hour and 18 minutes.

the beginning of Margaret reminds me of something else from NFR, I couldn't tell what it is. but it's such a cute song, I didn't expect to like it as much as i do. i think it reminds me of How To Disappear for some reason and another NFR song.

i'm telling yall, this album kind of slays better than what I expected from her thus far into her career. i mean, i wanna say i expect high quality shit and music that slaps from LDR but like fuck

anyone know what she's saying during the first chorus? "when you're good as gold"? I can't hear anything else and that's all I keep hearing, HELP

If you ask yourself, 'How do you know?' That's your answer, the answer is "no" :deadbanana: God, that line hit me so hard

if i fuck this model and she just bleached her asshole and i get bleach on my t-shirt, imma feel like an asshole
