Like I remember thinking grandfather would be different judging by the title, But no it’s a masterpiece.

This whole album is just heart-breaking and soul-crushing for me. Most of it feels so heavy that it's hard to listen to it without getting upset or emotional.

What I find so interesting about this album so far is that I don’t have a big urge to listen to individual songs. It feels like the album needs to be listened to as a whole. Like there are songs I don’t particularly care for on their own, yet this still might be my favorite Lana album as a whole because of the mood, experimentation, and ambition it has as a whole. I think I even like that it feels challenging and inaccessible in places.

Are my instant favorites. This is album is like a more mature Lust For Life. I just wish it felt more cohesive. I feel like I’m listening to a Lana style mixtape. Not feeling the trap bops so much, would have much preferred her just to expand on the balladry like she did on Gradfather by adding in other instruments besides piano. This record has a very “this or that” sonic identity which makes it hard for me to get lost in its world.
