Mike put up a post about the album on his Insta stories. I really enjoyed all the songs that he and Lana wrote together(The Grants, DYK, LTLI, Peppers, and Taco Truck). They seem to have worked well together despite him not being a professional musician.

I just re listened with the goal to figure this out and I can’t really, but there is definitely parts where you can’t actually decipher whether it’s talking or backing vocals or even who it is. Like, at 1:20 there’s someone talking that’s reverbed but it sounds like Lana.

 

At the start there’s something but idk if it’s speaking or vocals. The final chorus is a total mess (no shade, it’s my fav song) and there’s so many things going on in the background but good luck figuring out what they are.

I've had this album on repeat since Thursday night (and my Last.FM stats prove it). I really don't think I clicked with one her albums this immediately and this deeply since Lust For Life. I feel like this album literally reached into my soul and grabbed something at the core of it

Imao, there are many books and movies based on that event. Also, there is a metal band literally called "The Black Dahlia Murder".
