Since COCC's release, when any era thereafter has an intense dryspell, then COCC becomes subject to scrutiny. It even happens with Lust for Life and Blue Banisters.

Her mixing is very hollow. Comparing Chemtrails and even Norman to BB, the songs sound whole. I don't know if anyone will get what I'm saying, but when I listen to BB, I don't need to wonder whether my volume is where it should be. When I listen to COCC, even Norman, I need to check whether my volume is maxed out frequently.

Yea I totally see what you’re saying. The mixing is weird, the volume constantly goes up and down in waves. On Norman title track and Mac I have to constantly fiddle with the volume bar because the verses are quieter and then the chorus are super loud. Chemtrails is definitely worse, some songs seem to have almost no instrumentals on the verses (wild at heart and even title track). At that level it must be a stylistic choice though, right? However, it’s more apparent on cd rather than vinyl (at least it is for Norman, I don’t own any of the Chemtrails variants on vinyl)

Anyways, about the mixing, I do think that Kieron and Dean were better engineers than Laura. But I think Henry had a new engi eer because it sounded clearer so manifesting that engineer for Lasso

I dreamt that Lasso preorders was happening on another, smaller, artist’s webshop and that the vinyl was bubblegum pink with a neon green font. Chaos emerged among the fandom and the vinyls sold out.
