I definitely see the comparisons to at the holiday party (and daddy’s home in general), I actually noticed that they sounded similar before I even checked this thread. But Daddy’s Home is my favorite album the year so far so maybe that’s why I’m loving this song

it's definitely a sound i didn't expect from lorde which is a good thing imo, it's refreshing to hear. i think the song is very lowkey and beachy. i like it.

But in terms of artistic growth, it doesn’t sound like 4 years worth, like the way PH -> Melodrama was for me. We still have to hear the whole album. The thing that bothers me about this song is how relatively weak the lyrics are.

i love the song!! eclipse had already said the album would be a 70s beachy moment a while back, so that as kinda what i was expecting and it made me even more excited for what is to come in the album. also, i could see this becoming a hit kinda like watermelon sugar last year?? if she promotes it and everything which i really hope happens

idk what happened but it was available on all streaming platforms officially (- spotify), i was able to listen to it legally before they took it off again... what the hell happened? some intern is gonna get fired today
