I was expecting a full music video but it's fine I guess, the lyric video is very pretty... as for the song I like the lyrics and the whole "love game" theme, but this production do sound generic af and not brilliant grimes production at all, just like a drug from god

i've mainly been listening to arca's new albums this week but oh my god player of games is so good

player of games is atrocious compared to her first 4 albums. her voice sounds too nasally and the song is boring as hell

imo player of games is a grower, it's so different to what she's known for tho. I do miss her ethereal sounds, like everything pre 2014, but i'm glad she isn't stuck in the same genre and with each record she's actually trying different things. and we have so much stuff (which i really enjoy) in this techno/industrial/rave/call-it-what-u-want vein (miss a, the dj mix, the splendour set, the nfts, miss a remix and most likely her new album) that i hope she'll move on to another sound once she's finished with this album(s) rollout
