I remember where I was SO clearly. It was the fourth day of Year 10 and I was in Technology class and I remember visibly and audibly signalling my reactions to my classmates as Bang Me Box & Space Bootz blared in my headphones. All I Really Want is so good. Like it’s actually not okay that she scrapped it from the Japan version. It would have done amazing as a single I think, it’s so catchy and the production is infectious

I hope she does something like this! The second disc is a bit all over the place, some of the unreleased from Bangerz are unfinished, the production is wayyy different from the actual Bangerz sound (cough the Female Rebel tracks cough) so I replaced Kiss Somebody and Doctor with 23 & Real And True. Also added her cover of Summertime Sadness!

Sorry that the last 4 posts in this thread were by me...  But I was reading the Miley threads on leaked.cx and wanted to share the info here as I find it quite interesting! It is probably already well known but I didn't know some of this stuff.

 

'Bangerz' as we know it only started conceptualizing mid 2012. She originally had a different vision with barely any hip hop influence or imagery, and it was mainly produced with Pharrell, with input from Dr Luke and Oren Yoell. Rumours are that this record had the working title of 'Female Rebel'. This all changed when she met Mike Will, and she began working with him. Also, I found out that Rooting For My Baby and Turn Country ended up being swapped on the deluxe version, as Miley decided to release RFMB instead. All I Really Want Is Your Name & Down For It were intended to be Japanese exclusives.

'Dead Petz' era tracks that we found out about recently:

1. Princess Dress (Could be titled Cinderella, snippet leaked)

All songs coloured orange are songs mentioned by subsongs in a Tweet stating they are the 'next leaks'. In this list was also 'The Most (Worktape)', 'Never Run Away (Final)' and 'I Play With Fire'. However, I don't have a clue how reliable they are. 

 

'Goodbyes & Vibrations' and 'Your First' are also apparently from 2016 pre-Younger Now sessions that were part of a Dead Petz style follow up. However, she scrapped the album in favor of the opportunity to clean her image with Younger Now. 

 

Hoping we hear lots of Bangerz tracks, Princess Dress and Shanti soon! Hope we get a few big Miley leaks over the summer

Yeah from what I've read through different forums, fan sites and early interviews etc. The album was titled 'Female Rebel' and is reference to the 4x4 lyric.

 

I think the only songs from those sessions that made the final cut are:

• Adore You

• 4x4

• #GETITRIGHT

• FU

• Rooting For My Baby

• On My Own

 

Kinda explains why the latter were reduced to bonus tracks, swapped in favour of the newer hip-hop material.

 

I do believe Rubber Band appeared on a draft tracklisting when the album was confirmed to be Bangerz? So again it was probably one of the few Pharrell tracks (2012 sessions) that were considered for the final album...

• Doctor - Miley has never addressed the song, however it is confirmed to be produced by Pharrell and was recorded in 2012.

• Mustang (aka 'Stang) - again Miley has never addressed the song, however it is confirmed to be produced by Pharrell and was recorded in 2012.

• Rubber Band - Miley spoke about the track in June 2013 with Billboard, saying it was one of the first songs her and Pharrell did for the album.

• The Way I Feel - confirmed to be on the album by Miley in her January 2013 Cosmopolitan interview; she talks about working with Tyler The Creator, Mary J and Pharrell on the song.

• You Do - seems to be a concept demo produced by Pharrell, it seems the track is unfinished.
