ANNOUNCING THE 2ND ANNUAL LANAWEEN COSTUME CONTEST

 

Update: To get more participation I've decided to change the rules. ANY COSTUME IS ALLOWED. It no longer has to be Lana-related.

 

For the second year in a row, we will be holding a contest for the best Lana- or LanaBoards-related Halloween costume. However, unlike last year, you can't simply submit a description of your costume idea. This year you must also submit a photo of yourself in costume. Like last year you may submit multiple entries, as many as you wish, but only one costume is allowed per post. Your costume must be related to Lana or this forum in some way. Also, unlike last year, you may submit the same costume idea as someone else since you must submit a photo and will be judged on the execution of your costume idea, not the idea itself. In order to give people time to post photos from actual Halloween parties, entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on November 3. On November 4, a poll will be created consisting of the most-liked entries so everyone can vote for their most favorite. The winner will be announced at a later specified date at 10:30PM EST on November 6 and receives bragging rights and the respect of their peers (maybe).

Definitely fits the criteria of a Lana-related costume. Any costume is allowed.

Certainly! Post as many photos as you like, or even video. You can even submit multiple costumes if you like (just put them in separate posts).

No, it doesn't have to be at a Halloween party. I just meant that I was putting the deadline to submit after Halloween in case anybody did wear their Lana-related costume to a party they would have time to post them. Also, people are more than welcome to post pics of their non-Lana-related costume in the "Pictures of You" thread.

 

One more thing... I'm interpreting the "LanaBoards-related" clause pretty loosely. Anything related to anything prominent on LanaBoards is acceptable. Costumes related to prominent members, memes, running jokes, or other artists frequently discussed, etc. are all fair game. So for example, if you want to dress up as @@SitarHero, Auto-Tuned Loon, or Lorde, you can. All costumes are now allowed.
