I'm about to listen to his music before "Chloë.." release - does anyone here can recommend something for the beggining? thx in advance :candy:

Holy Shit, Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings, Now I'm Learning to Love the War, Please Don't Die and Total Entertainment Forever are some of my faves! :flutter:

This is such an incredible performance, I'll never get tired of it :true:

Things It Would Be Helpful to Know Before the Revolution or the entire Pure Comedy album

I Love You, Honeybear is an incredible album. Lana herself said I Went to The Store One Day was her favourite song from the last decade, you could start with that one, maybe ;)

I think these are very accessible upon first listen and amongst my favourite songs of his:

1. Only Son of the Ladiesman

2. Nothing Good Ever Happens at the Goddamn Thirsty Crow

3. Strange Encounter

4. Ballad of the Dying Man (Lana was clearly influenced by this for The Greatest)

5. Please Don’t Die

6. Just Dumb Enough To Try

7. God’s Favorite Customer

Spoiler

This album is so beautiful. The jazz. The flutes. All the instruments. It’s so well done!

We don’t have that one. Or at least I don’t.

I want to get into his music, but I don't know where to start ): I love slow jazzy melodic stuff, or just slow melodic stuff in general. Help?

Start with Pure Comedy, then Honeybear, Fear Fun, God's Favorite Customer. You'll love Chloe if you like slow jazzy stuff.

In my opinion, I feel like he took himself a bit too seriously in the last two records, and it caused the music to become pretty dense. This album is shaping up to be really, really good and his best effort since I Love You, Honeybear. It's that perfect blend between satire and enjoyable tunes.

I asked Asmodeus (the demon of lust) to make Miley Cyrus suffer. I am not happy with these new developments. After Miley rips off Lana's aesthetic, she bullies Lana into changing her release date. It is infuriating.
