She’s taking a break from social media, big deal, lots of people should probably do it. She seems totally chill and happy and is clearly just wanting to detach a little while still working. she does seem a little somber, and it's just very unexpected & weird, she has an album coming out, she's been very active otherwise, and also with the new of possibly signing to a new label, it does seem a little off... i don't think it's wrong or dramatic to speculate

At the end of the day, none of us know what's going on behind the scenes. This could've been something Lana's been thinking about doing for a long time and is finally ready to do, or it could've just been a spur of the moment decision. We don't have all the details and are most likely never going to unless we were told directly by Lana herself. I truly just hope that she's doing well and that this is something that is going to make her happy

I really don't think the filter helped the video. I think it's largely why it looked so unsettling. Like could she not use the film noir / vintage murder footage filter for once

Yeah the timing is just bizarre. She was posting so much these days and she does seem genuinely excited and proud of the new record so this decision to deactivate is shocking.

She’s a person, she’s not a robot, she gonna fell a million different things all the time. 

 

All this drama about how sad and tragic this is just weird to me. She comes across perfectly normal in the video and gives a completely acceptable reason for the break.

I wonder if it’s because there’s been a lot of negative comments about her body/weight in the last year. Obv not directing this at anyone here but I have seen people saying some pretty mean shit elsewhere and eventually that’s gonna make an impact.

I think you’re reading too much into it. If she decided to deactivate all of her socials all of the sudden, it would cause chaos in the fan base as to why she’s suddenly absent.
 

She was nice enough to let us know that she is happy and working hard on the music and basically to not worry about why she’s gone. Good for her — sometimes I toy with the idea of deleting my socials too, so I can only imagine how it can be for a public figure. 
 

I’m sad we won’t be hearing from her, but I think this is probably really good for her, so I 100% support her on that.

 

I did not see sadness in her, to me she seemed very calm and serene (queen.mp3). She also seems like she is at a point in her career where she feels liberated and accomplished enough to not care about the attention.

 

Honestly, I see this as a natural progression as she has been less and less active on social media in the last years. Every time she posts about her own music releases it almost feels like she’s contractually forced to .
