i have such a love/hate relationship with this song, tbh. it was one of my favorite unreleased for so long, and then i hated it for a really long time as well-- then listened to it tonight, and fell in love with it all over again.

Can anybody help explain to me what my file is? Is it just an edit or is it some type of alternate mix?

I've been under the impression my whole life that the version I've been using is the legit V1, but apparently I've been wrong. Wtf do I have and what is real

The final version is the one with additional production.

Blockhead himself said his version was given additional production by someone else without his consent and that he didn't like the result of that new mix.

 

From what I remember there's only 3 versions: Neon Palmmm, Blockhead's demo (v1) and the final one (v2).

I'd go for v2 too just because the additional production (specially the vocal layering) made it quite better.

prob unpopular opinion but ive listened to v1 1000 times more than v2 and this isn't a remark abt what's actually better, but w this song i like it feeling hazy, like ur poolside at night and music is playing nearby. plus it's easier on my nerves lol and lets me listen to it over and over since im v emotionally attached
