Ngl I like this new song but it sounds really dated, it could have came out in 2018-2019 and sound the exact same. Her team should have just stick to the original Problématique album (With a different name ) and better promoted Coconut

Hoping for her to rush release that first album so she can finally release more projects after and stop delaying everything/releasing debut singles every month in an attempt to have a successful first album which is not gonna happen

She’s not that likeable and comes off as fake to me, don’t know why 

 

Also her music since she got signed to a record label has been all over the place. Its like she cant stick to a theme, first Malibu, the french euro dance with TFSN (unpopular opinion but I Dont mind It being longer), to cocnuts again and then Unholy and IJWAR… 0 cohesion And punch so people end up losing interest! Not to mention her twitter fights and the Dr Luke fiasco 

 

she had some Clarity moments (pun intented) with Icy and TOTL but that hype will die soon if she doesnt put her sht together

 

I think she should have continued with the reagge tropical sound she was going for in Lenfant Terrible, Choker, Break the AC and Painkillas!! Those are some of her best

While I see where you're coming from (the singles as a bunch have zero connection between them except for maybe the first three), the Problématique album was is very cohesive and solid in my opinion. The Future Starts Now, Problématique, All She Wants, Born Again, Confession, Revelations, Hit It From the Back, Your Time to Cry, Je T'adore, etc.... I think it really had the potential.

However, that messy rollout was not helping, and so didn't her support for Puke wbk.

I guess if Problématique had happened as an era with a proper rollout and promotion, Unholy would've still happened (it was Sam's song after all) but not If Jesus Was a Rockstar and Brrr, or at least not right now.

I'm still waiting for Problématique to be unscrapped but that's to dream a lot.

Problematique has some BOPs like Je T’adore, All She Wants and Your Tourn To Cry, but some other songs sound unfinished or like fillers. Others like Hit It From the Back, although very catchy, dont feel connected to the test… I Feel like if the album was shortened to 11-12 song It could have been a solid one. But for any reason they put cocnuts in the mix for tik tok plays… 

 

Brrr (Cold) sounds a little dated with that Sophie like production (1, 2, 3 dayz up). Not bad, but suits better un the first era

This was the 12-songs draft tracklist from May 2021. In my opinion, the selection includes the best songs from the sessions.

That "Owww" track in number 10 was apparently replaced with "Coconuts", as you say, probably for a potential streams boost as they were planning to release it as a single.
