  1. Past hour
  2. Absolutely, I really hope we get a 'God Turn Me Into a Flower' moment on the album, it would be a piece of heaven with Lana's enchanting vocals
  3. this is so so so so beautiful i don't know what was going on with me and henry, but this song made me cry on my way to work this morning
  4. I love the album as well, it really reasonates with me. It's definitely her least creative album though but I love the minimalistic approach in sound and visuals. My favorite part of it was definitely the soft crystal clear production in songs like Emotional Machine, Handmade Heaven, Soft To Be Strong. I don't know how unpopular opinion it is but To Be Human is actually my favorite song written by Marina (with Happy). I really like this poem put together of the song's lyrics: I don't like You and No More Suckers though. These are cringy in my opinion. The only part I also don't like about this album are those tropical pop songs like Baby or Orange Trees because they sound odd one out with the other songs. I don't listen to much Enjoy Your Life or True either. I think this album has one of her best ballads and I think the lyrics on those ballads are beautiful as well - like Soft To Be Strong, To Be Human, Believe In Love. I loved these ballads more than ones in Ancient Dreams - but these are good too. My criticism about some of the lyrics really might be that they sound basic in a way that these are simple and could've been written by another artist, like in a way how they lack Marina-isms for some people. But I really loved witnessing Love + Fear era though. When people went to the cinema to watch Avengers Endgame or watched YouTube premiere of Taylor Swift's Me! music video, I streamed Love + Fear
  5. Yeah this is growing to be a classic
  6. Bluebird is cute but Henry Come On is a BOP AND IT’S NOT BECAUSE OF YOU THAT I TURNED OUT SO DANGEROUS-
  7. I picked bluebird, I think the strings sound better than in Henry, and it feels slightly less country to me. I’ve never really liked the genre that much, so hearing “cowgirl” is just… eeehhhh I don’t know. :B I’ve never pictured Lana as a cowgirl, she’s more urban to me. I also like the meaning of the song. Freedom, a longing for an escape, leaving things in the past and start fresh again. There’s a pain in there I think is better written than in Henry, something you might have to read in between the lines to catch, maybe.
  8. These singles give me soft Weyes Blood vibes and its mostly due to Drew Erickson. He is an absolute genius and I've been saying that too since Blue Banisters Giving him my applause for doing the heavy lifting this era
  9. oh no, please don't let me make such a choice
  10. this is so sweet, i really like it
  11. I don't read Lanitas but I read r/lanadelrey and to my surprise most of them are optimistic there. When Henry was released, many of the people there were quite pessimistic and I thought I would see the same thing there today as well but many of them were positive. Yeah, there were some pessimistic posts as well but that's like with every subreddit lol
  12. Credits from LanaWiki - they got it from Tidal: Lana Del Rey – songwriting, production, vocals Luke Laird – songwriting, production, engineering, acoustic guitar, electric guitar Drew Erickson – production, recording arrangement, acoustic guitar, baritone guitar, bass guitar, moogbass, drum, hammond organ, harmonica, mellotron, piano, strings Aidan Thillmann – additional engineering Jon Sher – additional engineering Michael Harris – engineering Mike Stankiewicz – engineering Dean Reid – mixing Ruairi O'Flaherty – mastering
  13. Don't even know why I bothered reading r/lanitas. They're so fucking stupid it hurts.
  14. Genuinely love both, but Bluebird hit me even harder than Henry and I was not expecting that.
  15. i’m so into lana this era
  16. I have to say that the song grew on me after a few times. And I couldn’t pin point what was that after each time made me feel nostalgic, and then it clicked: it really feels like an American Standards and Classics song, like the vibes and the lyrics… and it’s not simple to do a song like that cause you can easily fall in to being almost like a parody and not true and genuine to the genre. I think these two singles were released to make the public know what the intention of the album is, a modern take of the Americana Classics style
  17. Praying for her to get better… give this woman a break!
  18. Shes already teasing her next era The devil works hard but mother works harder
  19. I agree with you, lyrically Bluebird seems way more simple, not sure it really is, but Henry is so poetic it's crazy
  20. Bluebird hands down. It just keeps getting better with every listen, the clarity of her voice, the melody, the EMOTION... just shoot for the sun till I can finally run find a way to flyyy
  21. Am I the only one who enjoy Love and Fear ? I know this album is less creative than the rest of her discography but, damn, I love it so much, the vocals, the harmonies, the soft but catchy production . I mean, don't you have any pity for End of the World, Enjoy your Life, To be Human, Handmade Heaven, Believe in Love, Emotional Machine, Karma, No More Suckers ? It might be because it's the first Marina album I really liked, and I become a superstar singing on it while driving.
  22. boom like that

    JADE

Its crazy to me the album hasn't been announced yet?? Is she not getting greenlit or something?? If they don't drop the album by the first half of summer it'll be the absolute biggest fucking fumble
  23. I think I might officially be team Bluebird 💙. While Henry, Come On had certain elements that felt like they were added after the fact (almost like layers placed on top of an already finished idea), Bluebird feels fully formed from the start, as if it emerged in its final shape. The vocals are so on point, landing on each note with a quiet kind of confidence and grace. Both songs make me feel genuinely optimistic about the album. The sonic palette Lana is crafting is absolutely gorgeous: delicate, melancholic, dreamlike... There’s a stillness and elegance to it that actually made me think of Vashti Bunyan. If I could make a wish for the album, I’d love for it to include at least one darker moment, maybe something that leans into murder ballad territory, which could suit her so well. And why not something a bit more bluesy or upbeat too, like the bridge in Dance Till We Die, which would bring such a refreshing lift. Either way, what’s coming already sounds like pure magic.
  24. Don't kill me but I think that Henry Come On is lyrically better than Bluebird. Both are lyrically good (and sad!) but I think that Henry is better written.
