10 likesAnyways, here's for the babes who love a solid, sharp, cohesive and easy-listening album that's not too long.... 01. 3:45 02. 4:23 03. 3:25 04. 3:55 05. 5:05 06. 4:05 07. 4:55 08. 4:02 09. 5:49 10. 4:34 11. 4;56 12. 3:27 13. 8:35 14. 3:52 15. 5:59 No features (except only ONE feature Dolly Parton or Stevie Nicks or real legendary people), no rappers, no dumb interludes, no intros, outros, no Nikki Lane (i'd love their joint album instead of her hopping into Lana's). No tracks below 3 minutes (fuck you tiktoks), no covers, just Lana's original takes on country.

8 likesI don't have a problem with Fantano, he's become much kinder in his reviews than from years ago. I don't understand why you all have to insinuate, or straight out accuse him of being misogynistic. I don't personally AGREE with his review, but he always provides thorough enough details, critiques, and reasons why he doesn't like an album. TTBD is her most LDR sounding record too, it's not that deep

Growing up is realizing Track 10 / BIOYL discourse is futile. They both represent the dichotomy of the social experiment that is Charli XCX's music discography. They're both amazing, important, and iconic! -

I refuse to associate “Gold Rush” with Matty. Same with “Ivy”. Damn that little rat was the muse of century. -

Legit question why does anyone give a rat’s ass what he has to say? Like what does it even matter? If you like the music you like it. If you don’t you don’t. He is not even remotely part of the equation. And yes I know he rated Tunnel well and I still stand by what I said his opinions are literally pointless and Miss Taylor will get her well deserved streams and that’s how the world spins girlies!!! 🌎🌀🔃🎡 -

6 likesWe thought Coachella was the big event this month but it's really Nikki Lane's Cowboy Cookout / Midnight Cowboy / Swimsuits & Cowboy Boots extravagenza ft. Nikki Lane & Friends cowboy karaoke. Add on top of all that a photo by Chuck, and a comment by Lana....delusional I may be but if this doesn't scream Lasso...

Songs I think would make great music videos: Fresh Out the Slammer - think poolsides, hot weather, sensuality Florida!!! - Badass visuals featuring Florence So High School - Something like Teenage Dream maybe, very nostalgic Very summery to me. -

6 likesI’m all for letting people have their own opinions, but I can’t help and push back on it. I am a big Lana fan, and I really don’t hear any Lana in any of the songs. Just because Taylor mentions things like drugs and american things- it doesn’t mean that she’s copying(also coming from a big taylor stan, Lana and Taylor being my top two artists). The sound scape doesn’t really sound like Lana either, and the lyrics ESPECIALLY don’t. They consist of quintessential Taylor Swift themes, with a new flare to it that she hasn’t done before. I can’t think of any songs that remind me of lana on this record either, and lana would never name something “The tortured poets deparment”. Just because it has to do with poetry and things like that, doesn’t mean that it’s a rip off of lana. Ok thats my 2 cents.

what an ungrateful and disrespectful thing to say to her. reminds me of the crowd at that argentina show chanting for reputation while theyre seeing THE taylor swift perform in hot ass weather for 3 hours straight for them. her fans dehumanize her more than her haters, for sure. -

can someone tell me why anyone cares about fantano’s reviews?? he gave melodrama and folklore a 7. he gave ultraviolence a “strong 1 to a light 2”. and he said we cant be friends is the worst song on eternal sunshine. the worst songs on ocean blvd were the last three tracks (basically just the songs that were fun and had more life in them). his opinions are trash also i don’t think it’s misogyny, but there’s definitley some sort of bias. edit: i’m sure if he gave an album a 10, that’s what would make me question if the album is actually good or not. probably would be boring. -

I'm gonna be contrarian today, but this demand for artists to CONSTANTLY output and keep all lines of communications saturated is a bit unrealistic. put out a single okay great, now in like 3 days gimme the remix wig now where's the MV? okay why is your twitter and IG silent? post something omg. okay yay a tour but like, more dates?? where's the next single teaser?? you gonna do any radio show or podcast appearances?? album announcement, okay yay but will there be a deluxe? hello your tiktok is floptop rn next single??? there's a festival this summer you gonna be in it?? IG hasn't had a post in 3 days come on queen you're flopping here hellooo next single??????????????????????????? Like....y'all ever sit and wonder how ever did MJ and Madonna conquer the globe of pop stardom in the 80s and 90s? They weren't shelling out constant media and updates daily, and we still got there. Edit: I think we as a society and culture have attributed "noise" = "doing the work". I think people sometimes go "oh look, person is posting this, promoting that, serving looks, putting out material. They must be doing good and successful!!!" - I think people sometimes see near-constant activity as something of merit and prescribe value to artists and bodies of work based on that factor, but also like....we're over here lobbying for 6 hours a day/4 day work weeks, no emails after 5PM, and a month of PTO time off as standard labor practice. Celebs and artists should get the same considerations, ya feel? We will be okay with periods of silence. Our boredom is a sign that we, ourselves, are boring. It is time we touch grass and be patient. -

5 likesI hate long prereleases so I’m not in a super big rush for it to start, but I would love another small taste of what we’re getting. Henry come on is beautiful and I’d love to hear another part of it, or something new. the way she went from one extreme (teasing an entire album (NFR)) to the next (one snippet an era) is so funny to me. bring back the LFL level of teasing, that was such a happy medium

5 likesperhaps the most reductive and disrespectful take i've seen about this album. this album is many things- you could argue that it's "too long" or that it doesn't have "bangers"- while i disagree with these takes, you could definitely argue it. however- to say that it's a "LANA DEL REY RIPOFF"- it's basically saying, tell me you haven't listened to the album without telling me you haven't listened. at first glance- yeah, maybe the cover looks a bit lana del rey "esque", some of the titles/album name, ex: "But Daddy I Love Him", "Guilty As Sin"- but if you ACTUALLY take the time to listen to it? You'll come to realize it's one of the most "Taylor Swift" albums she's ever made. She's not trying to make country hits like "Fearless", she's not making her big pop moment like on "1989", she's not wearing the snake costume like on "Reputation". It's clear that she doesn't give a flaming fuck about how this is received- she could've released the best songs off the 31 song tracklist, and got all the acclaim, but no, she said fuck that and released a messy, and extremely bloated 31 song album. The clear purpose of this album is things she wanted to get off her chest, which kind of makes sense why the production could seem uninteresting at times- she wants you to listen to the lyrics. Here are a few lyrics that imo are quintessential Taylor Swift: - "I love you, it's ruining my life" - a thesis statement on a lot of her discography, if this lyric wasn't true she wouldn't have a career - "And that's the closest I've gotten to my heart exploding" - it's not a perfect line, one could argue it's corny, but it's so Taylor. The lyrics on this song are so unhinged as well, she wasn't faking anything on this song. - "I'm queen of sandcastles he destroys" - Would Lana write this? No. Some of these lyrics I can't explain how it relates to her- but this metaphor is just so Swiftian, very Blank Space coded - But Daddy I Love Him- the entire song. Sure, some of the lyrics are quite wordy but the theme is just so Taylor, it's literally a modern day "Love Story". Us against the world, this whole town hates us , etc. - "You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me" - She is always saying shit like this- and I love her for it! It's so dramatic, over the top, and a bit untrue, but it's hilarious and I love her for it. - "Always drunk on my own tears" - Well... it's true! And there are 11 albums of proof. - "I''ll forget you but I'll never forgive" - That's my grudge holding queen! She doesn't get over things easy, I mean, she's still writing about Kim almost 10 years later! It might be petty, but I enjoy the vindictiveness at times. I'll stop there but there's literally so much that I could bring up. This album is so autentically "Taylor Swift"', that it may be the reason why a lot of people hate it. Some enjoy it when she's pretending to be someone, but when she's being her unfiltered self- it can be a tough pill to swallow. The only way you could compare this to LDR is how she is just as authentic on her records. I've never listened to a Lana Del Rey record and heard a second of inauthenticity- she makes the music SHE wants to make, and she doesn't give a shit if it sounds boring to anyone besides her. Lana's personality shines through all of her music, and similarly I can feel Taylor's personality shining through this record. anyway... I just wrote all that. Literally sanctimoniously performing soliloquies Fantano will never see- but I needed to get it off my chest bc I'm sick of people comparing the two of them.
