I remember thinking the main overarching theme of this record would be renewals, but I'm wondering what self-preservation might come into play as a concept in it to be too.
info that she mentioned to cut away from the noise of uncertainty, what I remember is, the songs are stripped back, don't want them half-baked. simpler. the stagecoach performance songs still ringing towards renewal personally.
she added change? on lfl last minute. california on nfr.
she's definitely had more than enough time from her secondary update announcement on the album to think about more of what she wants it to be like, at least a bit better than before.
from an average person's perspective. i think objectively, a good thing would be to do a regroup, re-listen of what she's done w things on her own personal level, and move from there if she hasn't already.
I'm perfectly content with waiting and it's nbd for me because life, but I do think she should follow her gut instincts, and maybe show a bit more leadership for the fans towards her project. the shows recently are great for building fan momentum, so it would be a good easier time for an update as well.

I think a lot of it can really just be warped online, and definitely not to dismiss the terrible things happening, but from person to person. Unless you know people in the govt or military etc however that goes, you've just got a lot of factors to have to maze thru public opinion, propaganda, waves of hate coming and going from both sides so on.
I think it just defeats the purpose, and if you're another average person like a lot of people are, we don't really get to keep up to a practical point where we're all living our lives to the best of our ability on our own.
I think people need to sort of just remember to interact with others as if they were in the same physical space. You wouldn't really be acting in this sort of way in person, and odds are, you might just have a discussion and come to an agreement of where your views are, and what points you agree or disagree, but then what? You're going to flamebait, or slap someone with a glove? Like no.
A lot of this is above our pay grade, obviously we know what wrong's happening, but we shouldn't really let it get to the point of impracticalities. It's more than upsetting to the point of having to shut off, and it might be sad to say, but for a lot of people, we can't just glue ourselves to the screens, get mad at people, and then what? have our bodies be affected of stress to having a conniption?
It's good to reflect on your values, but also, realistically speaking, move past the virtue signaling and into actual helping of the causes, it needs to be calm. what needs to be done practically? how do you also foster service to yourself to be able to do that for others?
the way this is, is truly a storm. you might not be first responder qualified, but you can help volunteer what little you might have as an average person trying to go about your life.
or, if you actually have major influence, do what you think is comfortable for you. that's what she's doing. and given her history of being ganged up on online, move past the entitlement and it's actually a big thing that she wanted to at least speak about it in a way that she feels comfortable with.
at the end of the day, from our perspective of people that ofc want to see things get better bc we're not shit people, those are the only responsible options that we can take. forget about what the people on the internet might want you to react and respond to, or the keyboard warriors (I'm self aware about this, but the motive is really to just get practical about this) wanting to spar it out.
be smart, do what you think is comfortable and right for you. it's a heavy situation, I get it, but it's kind of a weird privilege to shame people for not knowing the entire thing, when we all honestly have lives that we might need to actually focus on and do our best to work on our own lives.
that's not the way towards negotiations and diplomacy for better outcomes and even awareness. these tactics don't help anyone. and for what? so you can get brownie points online? making good points and spreading awareness of things is great, but don't lose the plot.
it's good that she thought about speaking about this entire thing if at all.
the truth is, I myself can't really grasp the situation past the heaviness and the scale of it all just happening, I know myself to either, actually do something better in person with no fanfare, or try to just log out because even if it's far away, it's genuinely upsetting and even more knowing I can't personally do anything to change things for the better from a practical standpoint. we're all dealing with our own things and it's good to at least remember that to some degree. and it's good to support however we can, but being yelled at online doesn't really help anyone for anything lasting of good.
not a lot people if most, don't think like that, and we can't just demonize or shame them to the point of bullying to do so. I don't think that's the way to bring people to your cause.
it might not be the best of answers that many people wanted to hear from her, but at least she spoke about it using her celebrity status. how that goes into the machine/ atmosphere/ world stage and what it has to do with us, is a completely different story. and it sounds shitty to say but, after a certain point, what can someone personally actually do?
find your time to better the cause if you have it, donate if you have the means, be more human about your approach to spreading awareness sugar, not vinegar when it comes to newer people. you'll be surprised at how good people can genuinely be, but acting like you're foaming at the mouth waiting to fight with someone online etc. doesn't foster trust and connection. and then you blame and pigeonhole people as your enemies bc they didn't get to process it in their own way.
this is all being done for the sake of people, human lives. the clearer you can be in your person, the better service you can be at being more efficient in helping. the chaos only serves as a distraction from people who actually have the power to do something about it, but because many people are acting like pawns, it just means that they can get away with more. so what do you think that means when it comes to the efficacy and directions of wanting to make a more lasting awareness and move towards actual betterment for everyone?
don't forget the actual plot, and might be a highly unpopular opinion, but be smart about your passion and don't lose yourself in the process.
