just wanted to show this here bc we dont have anything to drag about
Not pop insider saying lana has cancelled Stadium tours bc of the critics... ok girl
This doesn't make any sense because these things are not easy to cancel because of some opinions lol. They are usually booked months before the event 😭 anyways nothing we didn't know, single coming around september and august.. definetly not 57.5...!!!!!

I have to agree, I can be quite negative at times but Chemtrails has grown on me.

That’s beautifully observed, and I agree…there’s something deeply human in the way a creative work continues to call its maker back, even after it seems “done.” Or close to done. Lana’s relationship with her muse has always felt like a living thing, not bound by deadlines or linear processes.
But I do think there’s a fine line between refining a vision and overworking it to the point of erosion. It risks becoming disconnected from the original emotional nucleus that made it compelling in the first place. What begins as something instinctive, immediate, and perhaps even imperfect can be polished into something technically "better’’…but more spiritually diminished. There's a unique charm in those early, slightly raw incarnations from Lana, for me as a long term fan what some might call imperfections often carry the most emotional truth.
In Lana’s case, some of her most beloved work wasn't seen as perfected upon release but gained resonance with time, like Ultraviolence or Honeymoon…albums that initially divided some fans but have since aged like fine wine. I’d argue that’s the case with much of her catalog to be quite honest!
So yes, the muse must be honored!! but there’s also virtue in letting something live, even if it's flawed. Art, after all, breathes more fully when it's released into the world…Lana will just have to give it a chance.

She might have some sort of unconscious resistance to completing or releasing it, though that seems unlikely. I think she's simply an indecisive individual; it's a part of her mercurial quality.
And anyone who is a creative person knows that you sometimes no sooner finish something--a song, a painting, a novel, a poem, an article or term paper--than it speaks to you again and you feel compelled to return to it and work on it again. Sometimes you may even dream whole lines or sentences, or find it otherwise waiting for you in your thoughts in the middle of the night. So, aggravating as it is for fandom, LDR probably feels obligated to her muse, who has given her so much, and begins working on LDR10 again.
I've been thinking maybe 'Fishtail' might have been one of the early impersonal Lasso songs that she decided to re-record for LDR9 instead.

I think she definitely cares a lot about this album and that's why she's taking her time to perfect it. She clearly didn't attempt country music to jump on the bandwagon and she wants to make sure that her approach is special.

She actually really loves Henry come on
I think maybe you misinterpreted what she said
"not her favorite" meant "not her favorite song on the album"
The reason she released Henry as the lead single is probably the fact that she believes Henry is the song that the album hinges on (that's what she said btw. Not me)
So she said it's not her favorite song on the album cause she wanted us to know that just because she released Henry as the lead single (or just because she said she believes Henry is the song that the album hinges on) doesn't necessarily mean it's her favorite song on the album
(Just like how West Coast was not her favorite song on UV (Cruel World was) but we know she really loved West Coast and she ended up releasing it as the lead single)
So that doesn't mean she doesn't like Henry
Actually it's obvious she really loves Henry and she seemed very passionate about Henry when she was talking about the whole process of it in that long instagram video (also the last time she talked about the process of her songs was like 10 years ago so this is also another proof that she's really passionate about Herny and loves it)
That was one of the funniest things ever
I remember her saying Yosemite is her favorite song on LFL in like 5 interviews but then the tracklist came out and I was shocked

I agree, and consider a lot of LDR's early 'LDR' work to be a form of folk art, even if slickly produced, because there's something still shaky and amateurish about it, perhaps tentative is a better word, especially in her vocals. I like how she can't hit all the high notes but carries on as if she can and proceeds nevertheless--you see that same quality in some of Marianne Faithfull's mid-1960s work (like on 'I Have A Love'). I miss that quality in Lana's work, though it rears its head here and there (I hear it on 'White Mustang' and in parts of 'Heroin'), even on 'Bluebird' and in the lyrics of 'SFOA,' where some of the lyrics seem too easy and obvious--but nonetheless work.
On the other hand, sometimes it doesn't work these days with the same charm it used to have, as on, for me, on a lot of the 'Ocean Blvd' record.
And thank you, too.

I do think her performances since the end of LFL have been a bit concerning to me- she posted an actual video on her IG where she’s clearly lip syncing to the backing vocal. I don’t think she sings completely live anymore.

Hmm, I think Lana deserves a tiny more credit vocally, performances like Heart Shaped Box and some of the Million Dollar Man ones during UV/latter Paradise showcase vocal flexibility and strength. She does naturally have a great voice with an extremely unique timbre, it’s just been dampened by her smoking, lack of training(I don’t think she does vocal exercises) and lack of interest in experimentation.
shes a much better singer than Marianne respectfully who would never be able to hit the Cola note.

Omg you guys scared me w these notifications, yes it was at Rough Trade London for the Honeymoon release back in September 2015, I was young and dumb as fuck and I would never have the guts to ask that today LMAO I kinda regret it cause I don't feel it was respectful of me in hindsight but yeah it happened and it's fucking crazy. I still have the pics but I get mad everytime I look at them cause it's Lanz who took the pic and she asked me if I was ready and I WAS NOT so it's a microsecond before LMAO
