i'm sorry but i do NOT see it being fuck me eyes at all i think that's just a rumor that got out of hand. it's either dust bowl or homecoming. (only reason i say maybe dust bowl is because ethel said she saw dust bowl & nettles as sister songs)

Really pissed at UO for how they handled this drop teasing it for a month, not allowing pre-orders, and then doing at limited drop while I was in a meeting.
 
Good on her for moving 2k copies of an almost 2 year old album in under an hour though. I hope that shows whoever is putting out her music now that she definitely moves units and is worth investing in.

This album makes me question if she was ever that good in the first place. But looking back - Royals, Yellow Flicker Beat, her Everybody Wants To Rule The World cover, Green Light - she had the vision. It was vibrant and made her stand out back in the day.
But somehow, she chose to reheat her blandest album track sound for the last two albums, and there’s literally nothing interesting for me. I actually saved more songs from Solar Power (a grand total of four).
I’d give this album a 55/100, cause by her standards, it’s really just there, not adding anything new to her discography.

i feel that so hard… pure heroine and melodrama were coming of age albums for me i miss it

Loved the last 3 albums... but the posturing and cheap gimmicks on this album both visually and lyrically come off way too self-conscious. Don't chase girl, lead like you used to. 
 
Edginess does not equal artfulness, but it's a very easy for people who are more progressive to project and claim it so

i have low expectations for this album. these 3 songs sound like anyone could've made them and lorde’s energy for this release is just off-putting to me. like SO much passion n “weird-girl” energy/visuals for such basic songs.
