Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass Merch Drop

I've added the Brazilian Portuguese edition to my collection! -
I definitely like Bluebird better of the two. it's just so peaceful to listen to. the melody, her voice, the music... perfect for me
-
Bluebird really gets prettier with every listen
-
How about Roses Bloom for You as a title?
-
I asked AI if it knew what the new album title is and it told me it's called Letters from the Valley
-
Idk but the "its not because of you" reminds me of "and my boyfriend's in a band" from Brooklyn Baby

I asked ChatGPT to interpret the lyrics and got this: The song seems to tell a story of someone trapped in a difficult or painful situation — possibly an abusive or toxic relationship — speaking to another (symbolized as the little bird, bluebird). The bird represents something or someone vulnerable, maybe even the singer’s own inner self or someone they care deeply about. The repeated plea "find a way to fly" suggests a desperate hope for escape, both for the bird and for themselves. The bird has wings — the means to leave — while the speaker feels stuck, unable to flee yet urging the bird to break free. There’s also a subtle sadness and selflessness in wishing the bird freedom even if the speaker can’t have it. Lines like "We both shouldn't be dealing with him" and "I've kept him at bay, but the horses are comin'" suggest that there’s a shared antagonist (possibly an abuser, a haunting memory, or some looming danger) from which both the speaker and the bird need to escape. The horses coming could symbolize that time is running out, or danger is approaching fast. The imagery of shooting for the sun is both a classic symbol of freedom and a bittersweet hope: aiming high even when the odds or reality feel heavy and limiting. Overall, it feels like a song about protection, letting go, and longing for both personal and shared liberation from a suffocating situation. more in-depth: This song feels like a deeply personal reflection on entrapment and the longing for escape. Whether the “him” is a literal person (like an abusive partner or family member), a metaphor for trauma, addiction, or some inescapable emotional prison, the speaker is urging someone or something they love (or their own spirit) to break free. It’s about the complicated blend of protecting others, feeling powerless, and hoping for salvation even if you can’t yet save yourself. The bird might be real, imagined, symbolic of another person, or a representation of the speaker's own childlike, innocent side. It’s also worth noting how the song balances light and dark: The bird = freedom, hope, innocence The past, “him,” horses = danger, fear, entrapment And the central ache is the divide between them.

I just got an email from Chappell Roan's store that they are disputing the chargeback I did You've got to be kidding me. over $14 of merch? I will never buy a single thing by Chappell Roan ever again. This is some of the most ridiculous customer service by a major label artist I've ever seen

Oooh if this is out at midnight locally, it will be midnight in New Zealand at 7am eastern tomorrow! only 18 more hours
-
My Blue Banisters from the restock was delivered! I took this one out first and thought omg, it's a real repress ... but no, it's still that weird, inconsistent murky swamp version anyway, at least one looks nice
-
I asked Chat GPT to make up some lyrics
-
Not knowing what the album is going to be called adds such an exciting layer to the start of this era I hope it's something completely new and unsuspected that none of us are guessing
-
"Palo santo for his dreams". Makes sense and would be a pretty Lana thing to say (but when I'm not focusing on the song or lyrics I keep hearing it as "call up Santa for his dreams" even though that would be completely out of place hahahah)
-
Some people come and they're gone. they just fly away like. like a bluebird
-
Doesn't it only take like two months or so now? So many people still say it takes like six months to a year but that was only during the pandemic which was literally half a decade ago
-
She seems soooo happy in the video I love it also I love how she totally knows everything we say about name changes and delays
-
It's definitely grown on me a lot since listening to it on repeat a lot since yesterday I still can't understand like half the lyrics though.. then I look them up and completely forget what they are when I'm listening to it later the strings near the end in particular are gorgeous
-
I'm so happy to finally have new Lana buuuuuuut I'm a bit underwhelmed to be honest. I hope it grows on me. Usually I listen to a new Lana song on repeat like 150x in a row but I don't think this one will get that treatment Also I can't understand like 80% of what she's even singing after the first verse... is it just me or
-
This means Lana will definitely release something tomorrow just so we won't be able to talk about it

It doesn’t ship for a few weeks so it’s probably a repress? Idk but I ordered a copy just in case it looks different
-
I already did! And I guess bc the amount isn't that much they already settled the dispute. The "all sales final" seems to only be on those 7" Giver singles too. Given the way they released them one by one, I bet they did that to prevent people from cancelling previous orders if they ordered them all thinking they'd be able to cancel the ones they don't want once we could see all five covers. Super scummy behavior
-
So I decided I don't really want The Giver 7" vinyl I pre-ordered that doesn't ship til August. I'm not that crazy about the song to begin with and I keep thinking I'm going to stop buying 7" altogether (unless it's Lana) bc they're really not worth the money or that enjoyable to play. Apparently though, the preorders can't be cancelled or refunded as all "sales are final": "Unfortunately, we would not be able to process your cancellation request as The Giver 7" Vinyl Single - The Plumber that you purchased is a non-refundable item, as stated in the online store product description (https://chappellroan.redstarmerch.com/products/the-giver-7-vinyl-single-the-plumber) - "ALL SALES FINAL. LIMITED TO 2 PER CUSTOMER."" WTF I have never seen this by any artist ever I'm a bit tempted to just flag the transaction as incorrect on my CC statement, this is ridiculous, especially as it doesn't even ship till August!
-
Ugh, I was on the store right when all the new stuff dropped and ordered a vinyl within the first few minutes but bc I was at work trying to be super fast on my phone I didn't even notice the signed CDs..... then hours later I saw them. THEY COULD'VE BEEN MINE, THEY WERE RIGHT THERE WHEN I WAS THERE

There is a Portuguese translation being published in Brazil at the end of this month!
