please ignore this if you attended the concert and had an amazing time bc i am so thrilled for you and you shouldn't have someone raining on ur parade, i am about to be a little bit of a negative nancy!!! the way that i saw her in hyde park in 2023 and she was absolutely amazing - so in tune with the crowd, great setlist, visibly happy, immaculate vocals, good vibes - then i saw her at leeds fest in 2024 and i thought it was a bit of a disappointment - bad setlist, weird "off" vibes from lana, couldn't hear her very well, no singing during most of west coast, absence of crowd pleasers at a festival where most people weren't even fans of hers (no born to die no blue jeans no doin time for example), bit of a lazy outfit and hairdo, literally only performed 13 songs but some of them were shortened so in terms of runtime it was more like 10 songs - to now this in 2025.... i was so sad when i had to sell my ticket for the liverpool show but tbh im lowkey almost relieved now. the shows seem to keep getting worse and worse 2023 serve where have you been where did you go

my friend had to pull out so i just had to sell both of our tickets i could honestly cry im so sad

currently in poland and flying back home at 6:40am, v much looking forward to having some lana content to absorb as i’m hanging around in the airport 🤭

i literally used to cry my eyes out whenever i heard this as a kid so if bluebird can evoke even an ounce of that level of emotion from me, i'm in danger

tbh i personally think the only reason she deleted the video is probably because she got sick of all the discourse surrounding her accent and appearance - i don't really use social media but i do go on reddit sometimes and oh boyyyyy they were being very brutal about her voice and face on there so i doubt the deletion has anything to do with bluebird not coming next week or any other adverse reason!

Secretary (2002) - an awkward, fresh-from-the-psych-ward young woman takes up a job as a secretary to a demanding, strange, emotionally distant lawyer. what ensues is a whole lot of bdsm sexiness Pearl (2022) - you know it... and i know it...... im gonna be a star....... Shirkers (2018) - there's a certain emotional quality to this film that i can't help but feel is lana-coded; the nature of this film is pretty hard to describe, but the letterboxd synopsis for it does a better job than i ever could: "In 1992, teenager Sandi Tan shot Singapore’s first indie road movie with her enigmatic American mentor Georges – who then vanished with all the footage. Twenty years later, the 16mm film is recovered, sending Tan, now a novelist in Los Angeles, on a personal odyssey in search of Georges’ vanishing footprints."

i have never come across another person who also loves/knows this film one of my absolute faves!!!

i guess we figured that henry would be a fairly sparse, stripped back song - personally im fine w that because i love nectar of the gods and sirens etc - so insiders calling the song a little boring doesnt surprise me much. what im most intrigued to know is if henry is reflective of the whole album, or is it one of the most stripped back songs on the record?
