At this point I wonder what she could be doing. I think we need BOZ to spill some tea, especially the making of Lasso being turned into The Right Person and then whatever the fuck it is now. Maybe he's waiting for her to announce the final title of the album and he'll start telling us? Mostly I wanna know how many tracks have been optioned and put on and taken off the tracklist like she always seems to do

YES, like sfoa guitar I so pwyc guitar coded. And her muffled vocals remind me of the way she sings old money and I absolutely love it, if we could have more songs like sfoa on the album and not country roads + southern gothic gator visuals it would defo be one of her best projects

I don’t know how to describe it but the guitar plucking and muffled vocals at the beginning of Stars Fell on Alabama is so reminiscent of Ultraviolence to me. Same with parts of Bluebird like when she sings “I’ve kept him at bay but the horses are coming they’re racing their way round the bend”. I need this album so badly pls Godna Parton release it 🤠 

If she didn't believe in this Country project, I don't think she would have bothered with the Stagecoach set and trappings, which, as we've seen, she's continued to use. It's more likely that it has been an unexpectedly difficult project.
 
Whatever its earlier iterations (and who knows how many there have been), something about them didn't please her, so she went back to the proverbial drawing board--as she's done on many projects. 
 
I never believed she would have postponed or gutted Lasso just because other artists were releasing Country albums. That was likely just a face-saving moment for her. 

I'd be so glad if she released it in September-October, this album is giving fall vibes, esp if she combines it with witchy swampy southern bb country coded visuals. Btw I'm still hoping for a summer album with the mirror and tough kind of songs on it, mb she'll bless us with this kind of project too one day

Well, record a song here, record another one five months later, meet a new producer, record other shit, wait for Jack to be available to mix the songs recorded seven months ago, record new tracks that aren’t at all country nor folk, make a record out of those, have Nikki Lana be your bestie and record some shit but keep it separate from the rest of it, realize the whole pop industry is going country but got backlash so not be so sure anymore, realize that the first songs recorded were like about the damn copper and you don’t feel like singing about him again so scrap those, met the new hubby and live your best life, get back to the studio to try to make a sense out of this and well, surprise nothing fits together, re-record and remix it all but gets new inspiration that will be questioned months later, live your best life part two, go to venues for a small tour and nothing gets done… and of course announce all of this while making it while nothing is ever set in stone.
