This is an interesting point of view. I don't think she really believes this theory, but society itself has other means to influence people to do things or even to be something they don't like or want, but they just go with the flow. Or maybe she wishes it was real and could be used to change people in a good way, to make them better. Also could be a view about how inequality is such a big problem that the wealthy part of society lives in luxury and enjoys their country clubs, hypnotized, while not caring about anyone but themselves, meanwhile the world is burning. Who knows? Anything is possible with her a little unrelated but, If we didn't have it already, change would be a great addition to this theme.

Me too! I’m not used to listening to audiobooks, but her poems sound so heavenly. I don’t know if we’ll be getting an audiobook for Iron Gates but I really hope so.

I know we are all frustrated and anxious with this release and every time she posts something not related to COTCC is anti-climatic, but this last post made me feel better. We know that being a poet is something she wanted for a long time! I didn’t know what to expect from Violet since she has been posting some poems on ig for a while, also English is not my first language and I’m not from the US so sometimes it’s hard to understand her references; but still, the first time I listened to “LA Who Am I To Love you” I cried spontaneously, just like the first time I listened to California. My point is, she recently released her first poetry book, the hardcover version will only be available by the end of September, even if there’s a little delay, we are getting COTCC way sooner than anyone expected (before she started talking about it). I’m just happy for her, if she’s happy I’m happy and I really think the music will be worth the wait.

I totally agree, this is why NFR is my favorite album, it shows how much she evolved. Her wittring and melodies are deeper, more mature now.
