The article is really interesting but also disturbing I wonder how much truth there is to it.

Many fans seem to be insisting this woman is lying for clout. But she hasn't revealed her identity, so what clout is being gained? It's not like she has a career to boost. I know that some people lie, but given the circumstances I choose to believe her.
I suspect she deleted her account because of Ethel and Austin's potential (baseless) claims of legal action. It was vaguely implied in her last post, and Ethel already pulled that in her initial Google document.
I doubt Ethel cared whether the allegations were true or not in the first place. If she's sticking by her man regardless, she should just say that instead of claiming it's part of this non-existent "smear campaign" conspiracy
Question: Does anyone know whether the Twitter account claiming to be Austin was legitimate or not? He claims it was an impersonator, but he types the same way and the account seems to have been deleted immediately after/before this statement was released. Not accusing anyone but if Ethel is chronically online like us… and defends herself under fake fan accounts… I wouldn't put it past her boyfriend to be arguing with people on Twitter

Thank you for sharing. I had no idea about this account or her saying that on Reddit.
Since you brought up her thoughts on Hispanics and that comment being inappropriate... It was always peculiar to me how the only thing she changed about Amber Haggerman's story was "white or hispanic" to "white"
Curious to hear Traleon's take on this, who already said there was nothing wrong and no real concern about the merchandise potentially being disrespectful to the brutally harmed little girl who never got justice.
If that's how Ethel truly feels she should just be honest about it and make a new "apology" IMO.

Something else I found from awhile back, forgot to post it here. I'm sure some other people were already aware but I've never seen it discussed. Her "lanadelreynevadaalbum" SoundCloud account, created in March 2010 and it uses the same profile picture she had on Last.fm:
There were seven public tracks still available for streaming in May 2011, but they were all taken down by ~September 2011. Fun fact: Each song (except Kill Kill) had a unique cover art, and all were uploaded on March 22nd, 2010
Maybe you'd find this cool @Surf Noir

i mean, if someone you were involved with "briefly, several years ago" (in his words), popped up in C-level internet fame would you make up a rumor about it? like if it was so brief and casual why would you care enough to try to cancel them out of pettiness at that point.
it's not like she (the ex-whatever) was trying to get famous herself, all she did was make a reddit post. like why would she lie about serious shit? doesn't make any sense.
i dont trust the guy and he has bad vibes, also ethel is constantly leaning into loving the "bad boy" stereotype in her lyrics and aesthetics or anything else. like why aren't we just taking this all at face value?

What do you's think about the Superman movie? I haven't seen it yet but probably will soon. Many Pro-Israeli's seem offended.

true. but we all know hayden's parasocial ass fans will take this as an opportunity to claim the accuser was actually a big fat liar that hates seeing her in love or whatever
edit: atp, all i can say is her fans are very annoying and her boyfriend is ugly regardless

Oh I'm not here to argue about the ethics of it. But the altar boy does have the body of a little boy and most people who see that would think it is, especially given the context of it being an altar boy with priests.
You said yourself it maybe wasn't the best idea. What I'm saying is that the average person being grossed out by the drawing (or "misunderstanding" it) isn't routed in transphobia like the user was trying to imply.

She is. Every single post is written in third person from the perspective of a fan. If I was a celebrity being called out, I wouldn't hide under a fan account, I would just say it with my mouth.
It would make her "apology" extremely insincere, since traleon is flat-out expressing the sentiment:
nothing was ever a valid concern except the racism but even that is a non-issue because every white person and ESPECIALLY HISPANIC has said it. And if you've ever had an issue or been concerned with anything Ethel Cain has ever done, even the Amber Haggerman mockery, it's based on transphobia.
The whole "She's being gangstalked by transphobes on kiwifarms (ethel doesn't have a thread) and lolcow who've been PLANNING her assassination and trying to make her kill herself", even implying her boyfriend's victim and people on LanaBoards are part of this organised ""smear campaign"" (which has just been people on social media digging into her not-so-hidden digital footprint and calling her out for doing questionable stuff)... Yeah, I think schizophrenia would be the right word.

The person they were quoting didn't know though. They just answered the question.
As for the missing poster, I'm not saying her editing "or Hispanic" out is inherently disparaging. It's just interesting she went out of her way to change that but nothing else - and now Traleon is using racial Hispanic stereotypes to deflect from their white idol's past race-related statements. Either way, I wanna hear thee biggest fan's speculated reasoning behind it

If the profile is actually her and she's been hiding under a fake fan account just to passive-aggressively defend herself (on a forum primarily dedicated to a celebrity she doesn't like lolololol) to deflect from her sexual abuser boyfriend, it'd add another layer of schizophrenia / narcissism to those posts and whole new level of insincerity to her "apology"
I'm not saying it 100% is and I avoided explicitly saying anything in case it's not, because it might not be. But would be funny if it was. (I will add that I suspected since post #1 on this thread and kinda referenced it on my status a few days ago). Kinda giving creepshowart if anyone has heard about that story...
