Ok well if you want encouragement it is literally my favorite Taylor album ever. The thing is I feel like people who aren’t at least fans of her won’t like this record because it’s like the most concentrated version of Taylor Swift™️ a Taylor album has been since Red. The record is so painfully honest in a way that paints her in a pretty bad light (which is why I think all those silly clunky lyrics work and are in fact intentional) which I think turned a lot of people off immediately.

Also, don’t listen to Anthology immediately after the original album, it’s basically an extended deluxe and does not work as an album the way the OG 16 tracks do. Let the album digest and then dive into the anthology (which has some of her best songs ever such as The Black Dog, Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus, imgonnagetyouback, and Peter) but in my opinion is significantly weaker than the OG album, but if you like Evermore a lot you will probably like Anthology more ngl. And idk if you maybe had a problem with the production (as a lot of people seem to do) but im not sure how to convince you to like the production, I personally love it and find it’s actually extremely varied, and while it is mainly synth pop many songs have influences of country, folk, soft rock, and the entire album just sounds SO cinematic and grand to me.
Sorry I’ve rambled but seriously it’s a great album and I think if you truly go in with an open mind you will like it. It’s a grower though!

I like Classic as a title but it appeared some time ago in another magazine and it got edited out so I'm not sure if it's legit... (unless it got deleted that one time cause they leaked it accidentally)
