oh my god charli is headlining a festival in korea in 2 months i got my ticket and i'm so excited!! even though korea is quite wealthy and into a lot of pop artists, it's quite rare for an artist to actually perform here because there aren't big enough stadiums and usually if the artist just performs in japan instead then korean fans will fly over there. but charli is coming here! for us! for me!!!

I was a high school student in New Jersey in January 2012. My friend who was a fashion photographer in New York gathered us all at her place and showed us the music video for Born to Die. My friend would talk about how her New York friends all listened to Lana Del Rey and how this was some kind of signifier for being in the in-crowd of cool New York artists. I was of course obsessed immediately after hearing her music and so when the BTD album came out I got it and played it non-stop for the next few months as I drove around town in my 2000 Ford Focus (I of course also kept a copy of Electra Heart in my glove compartment lol).
