am i the only one that honestly doesn't have a problem with most of the stuff she's getting "canceled" over
it doesn't take a genius to discern that she uses themes of incest in her work as a form of commentary on stereotypes that surround poor southern communities such as the one she's from. no, a lot of her art is not hyperpalatable, and it's completely okay to not like it, but to make transphobic comments and accuse her of being a sexual predator just because it explores themes you're not comfortable with is honestly doing way too much

(exception being the tweet about using the n word, imho concerns around that one are completely valid)

The losers bringing up her past and forcing her to make a statement on this are just bullies, she does not have to apologise for anything. Using the N word was wrong i admit but it's not fair to bring that up now. Everything else is just nonsense, let the damn girl draw what the fuck she wants some of these people need to go outside, get laid or idk take a good hard beating i swear to god just shut the fuck up and leave her alone.

it DOESSSS the mixing of the vocals and instrumental is a bit messy for my taste, i ve read that she even found hard to mix those synths with lower vocals

i really do hope it grows on meeeeeeee

why do we always request the same songs. how about chanting yosmite or sweet or even literally guns and roses rather than something weve heard countless of times

Loved the last 3 albums... but the posturing and cheap gimmicks on this album both visually and lyrically come off way too self-conscious. Don't chase girl, lead like you used to.

Edginess does not equal artfulness, but it's a very easy for people who are more progressive to project and claim it so

the fact that you need to sit more time with the album is just a sign that... well... the songs are not good
not going to listen more of this album but let's see what she cooks in the next 4 years!

as someone of persian heritage--no, your life in Scotland has nothing nearly as bad in it as what life for a gay man would be if you lived under a theocracy in the middle east.

I would not consider myself pro-Israel, but actively rooting for some of the most abhorrent regimes in the world to band together (highly unlikely, btw, you should understand that Russia and China do not consider themselves formal allies of Iran and no defense pack exists between the parties) is a diabolically uninformed take, and I urge you to acknowledge the privilege you have to even think it an option.

Barry, I really hope you one day have the absolute pleasure of living under one of these regimes

people talk about her right now the EXACT same way they did lana in 2013/14 that i remember. i know a lot of people feel like this album is mid and whatever- it could just be my interpretation of everything but i truly see what she means when she says it’s insanely personal because so much of it hits close to home for me? idk i could just be dramatic but i really resonate with the entire album really lol

im very happy to be here and be experiencing a debut like this. i haven’t felt this way in a really long time about an album
