Pico Ocean Boulevard Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Describe/ create your Lana album of dreams, an album you want to hear so bad from Lana, a sound you always wanted to hear from Lana or a sound we already have heard but you want more of it. I know we are delusion over here and have a lot of dreams & wishes so let's gooo!!!! You could put anything in here.....song titles, unreleased ones , sonically/lyrically directions, collabs and so on Be descriptive and creative Spoiler I want to describe my Lana dream album but I have a lot of stuff to do for Universit so I'll do it later 5 Quote "Swan Song. It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon."
Make me your Dream Life Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I currently don't have the brainpower to do this well so I'll just say: a disco soft rock ep/string of singles. perfect for clubs, raves, festivals. gimme those spooks vibes too. boom like that and stuff similar that'd be a greaaaaaaaaat thing imo 3 Quote
Anthony Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 My Lana album of dreams is the one she announces and releases on the promised date. Literally, a dream! 6 Quote

Marius Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Something like: killing me softly with his song (cover by fugees) + dreams (FM) + more than a woman (bee gees) + the air i breathe (the hollies) + because the night (patti smith) + alison (slowdive) album. 2 Quote
blackestday x tough Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 she should just forget about NFR. I wish her to do an album like Honeymoon again. With influences from Lust for Life and Ultraviolence. I need more songs like Blackest Day, Art Deco, Religion, Heroin, Shades of Cool, 13 Beaches, West Coast ... I also want some mystical elements. Please no more piano ballads 2 Quote
PARADIXO Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I would personally love a truly piano-driven album (not just 4-chord structures), with orchestra and synths/pads here and there. Kind of like "Riverside". 9 Quote
takeitdoen Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Orchestrated album (arranged by John Metcalf or someone similar), or a 'Best of' done with a string quartet and piano. Similar to what her original accompaniments were like on the 2012 tours. (a sidenote on this one - when she starts singing and the then can't stop smiling when they start clapping! so cute!!) Would love to hear it with these songs: Terrance Loves You Ultraviolence Black Beauty Honeymoon Change Love How to Disappear The Next Best American Record (with original lyrics ofc) 3 Quote
ShadesOfFool Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Drums, echo-y vocals, music you can’t dance to but can bop your head. Hip hop influences. Bass. songs about love, sex, drugs. ThirteenthBeach Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 OK... 50s housewife lofi jazz... storyline of a husband cheating on his wife with a younger mistress... Wife slowly gets more frustrated as the album progressing and the final song involves the wife driving off into the sun with the husband's body in the back of her car... So like "fake" happy 50s jazz dark housewife vibes that makes no sense but heres some inspo: 4 Quote
DeadSeaOfMercury Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 A Christmas album. she’s sitting in a blue 58 Belvedere convertible parked outside the Stanley hotel with snow. the booklet is like the interior of hotel with a party / decorations and shit but she’s the only one there. Now that she’s actually doing a Christmas album I know this will never happen. Btw the vinyl is the same shade as the car... 0 Quote
past the bushes Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Long desert rock/psychedelic/folky songs: Ultraviolent Sirens Strike Back Spoiler I'm not asking for Honeymoon 2.0 cuz I have a feeling Chemtrails is going to be HM's little sister (sorry NFR ) 0 Quote
rightofjupiter Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 A return to her take on jazz, a la TLY, Art Deco, freak, the other woman, shades of cool, the good life, and even Lizzy grant stuff like pin up galore. I love the melodies she comes up with in her jazzier songs and while honeymoon spends some time in that space it’d be cool to hear her revisit those influences in the context of her recent turn to folk and americana. 0 Quote
