Måneskin is an italian rock band formed in 2016, composed by vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and drummer Ethan Torchio. The band became popular after winning the Sanremo Festival and the Eurovision with their hit single “ZITTI E BUONI”.

is their new album ‘rush’ good?? i haven’t listened to it but will do so asap

i rlly liked teatro d’ira and hope there’s a song on here similar to coraline 

 

edit: welp i just listened to it and it’s really nothing monumental. i’m shocked that the same group who made teatro d’ira now made a super generic rock album. the english lyrics we’re mediocre (and majority of the album is english) why is why people in their comments are always begging them to make more italian music. sonically, there’s not a lot that’s interesting and most of the songs sound the same. the whole “sex drugs rock n roll” is such a tired concept and they didn’t even bring a fresh new take on it. 

 

this reminds me of why i disliked louis tomlinson’s ‘faith in the future’. i found it to be a complete rehash of 2000s indie rock with no originality. people, if you’re gonna make an album that’s inspired by a certain decade of rock, create an original take on it.

I actually didn’t know this band prior to this week. Their song “If Not For You” was on one of my Spotify playlists and I really love it, can’t wait to do a deep dive into their music!
