i’ve been a fan of lana since last october. i slowly started to love her music more, and i literally fell in love. from the start of january 2022 to now, i have listened to over 25,000 minutes of her songs alone. what makes someone a real fan, though?

A real fan is someone who respects her and doesn't trash her looks or other things that are just her business.

A real fan is not somebody who's up Lana's ass all the time because these people are just annoying yes sayers that (hopefully) no artist wants or needs. Some people seem to think having no opinions makes them a "true fan"...

 

A real fan is somebody who is able to think for themselves, maybe criticize artistic choices (songs, lyrics, sound) sometimes but still supports and respects the artist.

A true fan also regards the people with whom Lana works and who support Lana. They also respects other singers in collabs and avoids comparisons between them. They accepts changes and evolutions of the artist, even if it's not quite their favorite music anymore. They appreciates the singer's artistic achievement and is not only fixated on satisfying their own needs.

i started listening to her at a sensitive period of my youth and now i'm bound to her by the shackles of nostalgia 

but she's also a talented artist and respectable person

Sometimes I find myself humming to some random melody and I'm like "oh that's really good but what is it from" and it 90% of the time it ends up being some random acapella laptop demo

I was a sort of casual fan until 2019 and had listened 1/3 of songs of each album including unreleased, wrote a quick biography about Lana for my French homework in high school etc. I haven't listened to her albums because the majority of modern artists have filler songs so I thought Lana was like that. Boy, was I wrong. I started listening entire albums in 2019 and was absolutely hooked. Her albums caused maladaptive daydreaming. I imagine myself in different storylines depending on the album. I love her songwriting and having a band in this day and age. If I don't daydream when listening, her songs increase my mood and make me enjoy small moments.
