I've been meaning to make her own thread (she's a solo artist at this point so the Chloe x Halle thread isn't appropriate). Her debut album "In Pieces" is so good. I know it's a meme to drag her music, but I feel like those people haven't actually listened.

I think she’s got a beautiful, sensual voice even at times but it doesn’t translate on recordings- it’s like someone gave her some flo b sides lying around

she has some juvenile lyrics sometimes but i am willing to sit here and wait for her to fine tune her production and find what works for her !

LOVE her, sadly I'm on the team who found her album super underwhelming.

 

However the title track, Pray It Away, Body Do and Told Ya are it! I hope that she releases a deluxe of it tho, can't wait to see her growth on her solo career
