2024 US college protests and encampments

More than 40 protest encampments have popped up on college campuses across the US and Canada. Columbia, MIT, Harvard, University of Michigan, and University of Texas at Austin, OSU, Princeton, George Washington are some of the most prominent colleges with active protesting going on, in response to Israel’s war on Gaza.

Dozens have been arrested at select universities and there have been many noted instances of attacks and arrests of journalists and medics.

i find it very concerning that people are being arrested and such for expressing their CONSITITUTIONAL right to peaceful protest and freedom of expression, such strange times we're living in...

I remember being a freshman in college during the 2016 elections, we protested and marched after the presidential election results were announced. But this is on a whole new level. Good for students standing up for what’s right and not giving up, I hope students stay safe. These police are going so hard it concerns me tensions will escalate even more.. it’s just such a shitty situation. I wish peace for all, especially in Palestine

Universities are the ones stopping Jewish students from going on campus. Don’t know what you’re going on about. There is a clear difference between anti-Zionism and anti-semitism.
